Man goes on rampage after caught illegally dumping

Full story: KOB.com Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

It's something most people would never dream of doing, going out to the mesa outside of Albuquerque and dumping trash everywhere, but Jeremy Jojola and the 4 Investigates team caught people doing just that.

The danger in dumping refrigerators is mainly that it contains the gas, "freon", which harms our atmosphere greatly. This is why automobiles phased out freon in the mid nineties.

Freon? I love that stuff. We should bring it back. It does a fantastic job in keeping things 'cool'.

That video will probably make it to the national news, and give New Mexico yet another black eye. Hope that guy gets some jail time. Or, at the very least, a damn big fine!

If they caught and fined those who dumped there they would have the money to clean it up AND stop the dumping. And don't say it would effect the low income people. They are too lazy to go to the dump and Legally do it. It costs little or nothing. Most are illeagel mexicans bringing their culture to us anyway.

Mercy, leave it to the gov to really screw things up. Simply go through the Pajarito Mesa and EVICT all the people squatting there. Then patrol the area and make sure the squatters dont' return. Next, have in-place fires to burn the stinking trash. Then, keep patrolling the area to keep people out. If illegal mexicans live there DEPORT them!! Any more mexicans complain, deport them too.

When they can catch them they need to fine them and for every load they can prove they hauled in they need to be made to haul 5 loads out!
WOuld generate some income from the fines and cost nothing to get it all out again!

If I read the article correctly, the guy that was caught illegally dumping and turning violet was named Eric Beyer, not some “Jose” or “Jesus” so don’t think for a minute that it’s an illegal immigrate problem “Fedupwith” and “Smarter Than Dems”, jerks! Living in the south valley I see part of the problem is having landfills, private and county/city owed, charging outrageous prices to dump. Although this does not give ANYBODY the right to throw their trash and garbage along the road side ANYWHERE, people from all walks of life are lazy, inconsiderate of the private and county/city owed property, and have no regards for the environment and the impact that illegal dumping causes.

I live in this area and it is "out of Control", To say solid waste is out there "I don't think so" The trash is even dumped on the side of the road and not taken onto the mesa area. It is sickening and depressing.

Typical NM mentality by some people. No respect for anything, property or nature. No wonder this state in places looks like a giant landfill! It starts with people and they have to change their ways but the low life who do this this won't.

Its just another example of too many dumbasses here in Albq who don't have respect for anything but their own ends. They better keep in mind though, that the community is sick of their antics - we need to look out for one another. That could've easily been someone's kids or grandparents out there that the psycho mistook for a camera crew.

good idea, but it doesn't leave any room for kick backs and bribes, your plan is too stright forward, work on it, maybe we can spread some money around to those who don't need it, and claim the problem is too large and do nothing about it. sounds good, good!
