So is Jeremy saying that if someone has a DWI, and that even if they're sober when they're working, that they're not qualified to spot someone that's had too much to drink? I wish Jeremy would put his journalistic skills to better use and start reporting on all the government fleecing of the tax payers.

I have no problem with them working if they are sober. I think instead of wasting time with this type of investigation KOB should be investigating the problems at city hall and with APD.

We have many government employees who have broken the law. Should they be able to keep their jobs too?

I agree Jeremy needs to find a better way to apply his journalistic skills in another area of the news. Seems to me like Jeremy is trying to be a Little "larry barker from KRQE". Funny how Larry's reports are followed up on a few months later and it seems more often than not that his reports lead to changes. Hey maybe Jeremy could become their editor anc correct all of KOB's grammar and spelling errors that occur on a daily basis. I'd go one better and ask them to stop reporting on working people trying to get them fired for going through the LEGAL processes to get their jobs in the first place, and start following these drug dealers and gang members wreaking havoc on all of us! That to me would be great reporting!!! Leave working folks alone!

Just Bob wrote: We have many government employees who have broken the law. Should they be able to keep their jobs too? Depends on the law. A traffic ticket does not warrant dismissal. Some parts of our lives have to remain private from the workforce. If I get a DWI when off duty, in my vehicle, but can still get to work on time and perform my duties, I don't think it should effect my job. However, a DWI during work hours or in a government vehicle at any time, should result in dismissal. Any crime that involves jailtime that I can't cover with vacation leave should result in dismissal, otherwise, it doesn't need to be discussed. My opinion.

Hey KOB, how about you revisit the situation where Bill Eisenhood was fired from KOB for getting a DUI? How about you report on the fact that Eisenhood was leaving a KOB Xmas party? How about you inform all of us who at that party didn't have the decensy to provide transportation for those that had been drinking? Did you ever think the reason the ratings are so bad for KOB, is because of the way the news station is run? Huh, you guys are simply brilliant.

Gosh darn it.Please leave people that want to work alone. So what if they have DUIs?That doesn't affect their abilty to sell or serve liquor.I could see if they were drinking while working but that doesn't seem to be the case. When something of importance happens,we don't get all the fact. But when some little B.S. like having a license for selling or serving liquor, they make a mountain out of a mole hill. This is ridiculous.Reporters, stop with your DRAMA already.

I've never had a DUI , but I do drink. But to get drunk at a bar would cost way too much , both in drink cost & the aftermath of getting busted. I think that someone who does drink may be able to spot someone else who has had too much a little better , but if they drive drunk , they should pay the price , but not with the job that puts food on the table.

You would think that the poeple in charge of handing out the license to serve liquor would use their resources to be able to look up those poeple to see if they have and liquor violations. How can an agency in charge of putting those licenses in hands of people not have the power to look up those records? If you ask me sounds like they don;t so they can deny and responsibilty.

So take their licenses away, but their jobs are fine. After all, these are the people with experience; they might be the only ones who can get a drink order correct.

Witch hunt? Perhaps, but the report does point out ridiculous inconsistencies in state licensing procedures and laws. If we're going to let drunk drivers keep their jobs as bartenders, why not child molesters as teachers, or battery offenders as cops?

This is to all those who think getting a DUI is no big deal and then getting a job serving liquor. What the hell is wrong with you all? People go out get get drunk and drive cause accident and kill people but that doesn't seem to concern you all. Well ihope for your sake no one ever gets drunk, drives and kills a member of your family then will it be a big deal? Is that what it would take take before the reasoning behing not drinking and driving would soak into your thick skulls? These people get convicted for DUI or DWI then get to go out and drive to work to server liqour. Then in one instance a guy working is caught drinking a beer while on duty goes home. If your caught driving and get a DUI or a DWI even once should be behind bars for stupidity. Your probably the same poeple who think not using your turn signals or speeding is not big deal either. Well to all you GROW UP and take responsibiltiy and hopefully less people will get hurt or die on our roads.

Jeremy Jojola doesn't bother me with his reporting I think he does a pretty good job with it although I do think Larry Barker is better. What does get to me about this story is Linda Atkinson & her big mouth. This women & people like her will not be satisfied until all liquor is banned. They are all prohibitionist folks. They no they can't fight the big Alcohol Manufactuers so they are going after it in a way that no one will see coming. They slowly take things & make laws that no defense attorneys can beat. what they are doing has nothing to do with over serving or DUI & everything to do with PROHIBITION.
