Does Bozo Marty really think people other then city employees are going to listen to him flap his lips up and down?

Just don't light a match close to them or BOOM all that hot gas pouring out might explode.

What a clown.

Marty - your city is on top of the list of the murder/crime capital of the US.

Doesn't that bother you?

Eventually the citizens of this city and state will get tired of the status quo thats been going on for decades, or you'd atleast think so.

Maybe Eclipse could give the City some of the money they owe for airport rent to keep the city running.

Mayor Marty is considering a run for the mayor slot again. Let's all pray that someone worthy of the job decides to run against him. Remember, he got a judge to change the rules on serving more than two terms.

Wasn't there another Chavez that tried to change the rules of term limits? Oh yeah, wait there was, his first name was Hugo.

Someone needs to step up. But I am not sure if there is anyone that has all the "luggage" required to hold the office.

$20 million shortfall??? Not six months ago I heard talk of a budget overage thanks to red light vans and red light cameras. Hum...makes you wonder where the money went???

Check Mayor for life Marty Chavez's hidden bank accounts. Within those you will find all $20 million.

BTW: the mayor is uneligible to run again because of term limits. To change those there has to be a vote and Comrade Marty didn't get that done.

Rule # 1 "The first order of business of any Government is to generate revenue.

Rule # 2 "The issue at hand is not whether we should raise taxes to balance the budget, but if we should raise taxes to cover up our incompetence to manage money."

They will find a way to increase revenue without layoffs or much less paycuts for those people who make over 85 thousand dollars per year as a civil servant. What a surprise!

Budget shortfall uh lets see 700,000 for a down town study for a worthless arena. State loosing millions of dollars for each 10 cent drop in gas. People not spending their money for the holiday's because there tired of being ripped off by the government tax revenues down because of that. then you wonder why.And hurt the working person by not hiring and no raises. Stupid stupid stupid

WRONG, his shyster lawyer found a loophole he could jump through.

To bad it was not the open toilet lid he forgot to put back down.

Face it folks, with all his connections to big money and big (here at least) business he knows he will win.

Then when our Governor moves to DC Bozo will run for Governor against Denise.

Neither would get my vote either.

Hey Marty learn how to balance a check book and if there is no money in it don't write a check, that is a Federal Offense to knowingly write a bad check.

Give this a thought, not one councilor since early this year when Bozo and his lawyer mentioned this loophole have they tried to pass a law closing it.

Chew on that for a bit, it opens the door wide for the councilors to run and run and run too.

You get what you ask for. If King Marty runs again, he will win again. Just look at the numbers for the Presidential election.

Liberals, over 50% of them, got out and voted. The same cannot be said about the more conservative bloc, only 26% got off their collective rears and voted. If the Shah runs again the results will be the same. The majority that want him will go vote. Those that don't want him will just sit on their thumbs.

Like I said, you get what you ask for. Or, in this case, what you didn't ask for because too many of you in Albuquerque will not vote, you will not stand up and make your voice heard. Then, you will continue to complain about the King getting his nose even deeper into your business and his fingers deeper into your wallet.

I have a problem with why Marty doesn't understand the reasons why the downtown folly is a bad idea right now. ABQ is in a financial nightmare and he wants to spend $40 plus million on the downtown arena and etc and the $1 million on a "Feasibility Study". How can we stop all this foolishness until ABQ gets back on its feet? Also, the blogs say something about the city loosing money as the price of oil and gas goes down. Well!!! Do we want lower gas prices or do we want a downtown arena? We can't have both. Why were the talking heads spending money we didn't have when oil was at a high and oil taxes were bringing in millions of extra dollars. The soothsayers a year ago were banking on the prospect that oil and gas prices were going to remain high and we would have that money to spend. Well guess what? That little piggy bank has dried up for now and I don't see it coming back anytime soon because of the recession were are in that is getting deeper and deeper into what could be called a mini depression that will only get deeper in the next 6 months. Now the auto makers are going bankrupt and are asking for a chunk of the bailout money. Talk about a problem. If they go bankrupt, then 1932 will look like a timeout compared to what a depression will do to the county at this time. Millions out of work, soup lines, crime, corruption, smuggling, and a bunch of other problems that can't be fixed for years. This country needs big time help.

The only thing Mayor Hobbit ever did that was worth a crap was 311. He never got my vote before, and he'll not get it again, for ANY office!
