Is there anything Chavez doesn't want to stick his nose in? I'm counting the days until he's gone! I can't even believe there is a pot luck ordinance.

Why is now an issue and all the years past it wasn't? Isn't there more important ordinances out there than the potluck ordinance.

I'm pretty sure the church parishioners who attend the potlucks know who cooks what.

It's the holiday season people, the times that we're facing now, we should be happy and thankful to be with friends and family.

American ideals of freedom of action and freedom of speech are under consistant assault by every level of the government which is constituted to protect those rights. Time to really look at what's happening. There's more here than meets the eye.

Crime in Albuquerque is rampant, the city has money problems and other serious matters to take care of and all they can do is come up with a potluck ordinance? It is time to get rid of a bunch of worthless politicians and start over.

It's really hard to take Albuquerque seriously when they pull stupid crap such as this.

So I guess the next step is regulations for tailgateing during balloon fiesta?

Until qualified voters start studying the issues and attempt to find out what a candidate really stands for and then gets out and votes, we will continue to have a bunch of worthless politicians based on the amount of money they are able to spend to make their name known.

Doesn't the city have other "important" things to do besides harass Churches? They need to clean up their own "backyard" first.

Mayor Chavez and his gang have all this crime and killings going on and not much is being done to stop it. But, when the Church tries to serve posole, they "rush" to stop them.
What are the city's prioritiess here???

This is the really important type of regulation we need on the books. I can go to a regular restaurant, pay an exorbitant amount, tip, go home and get food poisoning, thank you very much.

It was probably some uneducated flunkie that went to some seminar somewhere. You would be surprised at the lack of education in the top tier managment structure of the city, especially those in positions of authority. Come on 4 investigate!

We need to take this potluck ordinance very seriously. Violators need to be punished to the full extent of the law. No plea bargains, they need to serve hard time.

I agree. Look what we ended up with for a new president. I still don't know where he stands on most issues. I personally believe that the main reason he got elected was due to voters being fed up with the garbage that went on for the last 8 years. I think the next four years are going to be a very interesting ride.

This is just another example of how the government has nothing better to do with its' time our OUR money. PLEASE!!! The last time I checked you could get sick eating at a restaurant just as easily as at a pot luck. Life has some risks, and eating someone elses food is one of them. For that matter eating your OWN food could be risky. What's next?...the city goes around banning bake sales for charities and the like? This is just STUPID! And why all of the sudden ofter 80+ years has it become an issue?!?!

Absolutely!! Not only the mayor, but get rid of the councilors as well. It's time to take back the "Peoples Republic of Albuquerque."
