Read it and weep Albany! Will the last person out please turn off the light or else you will be taxed.

Once this pathetic housing market picks back up I know many families that are gone.

I too can't wait to leave at first opportunity. The only ones left will be state workers wondering how they will be getting checks. NY State is the fourth largets employer in the world. How can we keep up?

It's funny how every politician is going to lure high paying jobs to our region, but yet allows taxes to sky rocket. Gee Mr. Politician who is going to be here to fill those positions when NYer's are leaving in mass Exodus?

One has to wonder when the dopes in Albany are going to ever get this message? They probably never will, because they always take real good care of themselves first, and let the rest of us be damned!I'll be dome in NC by this time next year, so good luck New Yorkers.

I left Glens Falls 2 years ago and have never been happier. It's so good to get an energy bill with NO delivery charge or other taxes. I'm only taxed on 4% of my house value, far cry from NY. Gas is cheaper etc. The politicians in NY should realize that college kids are educated enough to know that they don't want to pay the high cost of living in NY which is only going to get worse.

Shocking! Who would've thought that people would leave a state with high-taxes, bad climate, limited services and a screwball government?

Cfoote,
Kind of interesting isn't it? Bring in the companies, give them MASSIVE tax incentives, then they hire 5 people. That makes so much sense!!

Happy,

My "short timer calendar" is in effect as I count down the remaining days. I know what you're talking about. My consumption is as low as I can get it, their BS taxes are as high as they can get away with.
