That's gotta be a typo... because that would be something like 40 gallons of steak sauce at normal retail pricing...

If it's not a mistake...

Then how much was listed for the cost of the steaks...?!

$650 for cigars really isn't very much... a box of 20 GOOD cigars will run over $300... so this could be a purchase of as little as 2 boxes.

You're right about the cost of good cigars but still...

How in the world does, if the figure is correct, someone / anyone spend $2900 on steak sauce... I mean - is he bathing in the stuff or something ?

;)

In those amounts, I'm pretty sure he would get some kind of volume discount.

I guess it could be a small kick back to Maines. I wonder what else he spent money on.

Once again our biased local newspaper shows its true colors.

Why was Senator Tom Libous singled out and his image used to illustrate this story?

Where is Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo's total restaurant bill? Why not use her picture, after all she's prettier, right? That's why people voter for her. It certainly isn't for the economic opportunity she delivers.

These are perfectly legitimate campaign expenses. Why does this newspaper want to chastise local politicians for doing something totally legal? Shouldn’t they be looking for ILLEGAL activities.

Then these writers and apparently their editors want to "expose" the politicians how are doing these legal things better than their less experienced and not as competent colleagues?

We saw last week with his glowing, soft ball and lengthy story on Tarik Abdelazim how one-s
ided Steve Reilly's reporting is. Mr. Reilly did not even bother to check Mr. Abdelazim 's comment that when Abdelazim dropped out of his medical school class he was supposedly at the top of his class. Abdelazim wastes $45,000 in tuition (he didn't care it wasn't his money just like when he wasted our money during his stay at Binghamton City Hall), wastes a limited slot in the class that could have gone to a student more deserving and willing to work and Reilly gives him a free pass. Reilly doesn't check, doesn’t request college transcripts form the candidate. Reilly doesn’t even bother to answer emails bringing this up.

It is unfortunate that local readers have to be subjected to this biased reporting week after week.

Then Gannett and The Press & Sun-Bulletin wonder why their local subscribers are dropping them.

Give the people the truth. Be fair in your reporting and maybe you'll sell a few more newspapers.

Same story out of Rochester

http://www.democratandchronicle.com/article/2...

written by the Albany bureau.

Why was Libous singled out? Because he pissed away more of his campaign money than any other New York lawmaker in the entire state, that's why.

$30,000 in legal fees involving a situation where he claims he is innocent and no formal charges have yet to be filed?

Libous is a crook and a liar, plain and simple.

I know you think everything is a big conspiracy theory Arzouian, but that is due to your mental illness. Seek the help you so desperately need so maybe one day you can be something else other than a spooge boy for Libous and his lackeys.

I just noticed a new email in my inbox...

What it said is that the $2900 spent on steak sauce was a promo by Libous... that the money was spent having novelty bottles of the stuff made up and tyhat he handed them out at one of his fund raisers...

No information / supplier used though...

Also no information on / explanation for the $12,000 ( avg $32 a day ) spent on restuarants for non-fundraising activities... while getting the $165 daily per diem ($61 of which is for meals / incidentals ) when in Albany...

The Press should be asking question about his lake house that some say was built for free by a local contractor who has received big state contracts.

Daily Horoscope for May 17

Scorpio

Yesterday was no picnic so today you're desperate to enjoy yourself and forget all about it. It's a great day for being with someone special, particularly if you can have a really good time together. Maybe you could go out for a meal or a drink, or perhaps you're interested in more private pursuits together. The only snag is the money all this could cost you. You won't mind at the time but you might wince about it later on.
