Alternatively, if a pregnant woman is murdered and the fetus dies as well, why is the person charged with two murders?

A fetus never had any rights.. Any where at any time.. And all the laws once you get past the rhetoric are there to insure that the woman civil rights are protected. The second murder charge when applied is to assure a conviction of a heinous crime.

Abortion is a medical procedure. One that is thankfully safe, clean, and just as importantly, legal.

That is reality.

Let the mom have an abortion, if not, you will end up paying to raise the kid through welfare, medicaid, wic, daycare, foodstamps, ect.
