Boeing accused of retaliating against union with S.C. plant

If the scumbag union is successful in this suit, I hope Boeing moves EVERYTHING overseas. You can only take this anti-business attitude from government and unions for so long.

This is exciting news for the South Eastern region of the USA. The workers will be happy to work this high quality jobs. I think the Seattle workers are afraid they will see Southern workers grateful to have a job with good pay and benefits and not complaining. It will give them less power to strongarm Boeing.

Good pay??? i interviewed for the SC plant and have nearly ten years experience in aviation maintenance...they offered me $17.60 an hr. im glad they have a non-union factory but they really need to raise the pay if they want quality workers to move all they way to SC.

there are a lot of exsoldiers with aviation maint. experience who would be happy with this salary and benefits paid!jobs are hard to find?

yes thats true but a soldier straight out of the military isnt a certified aircraft mechanic and normally specialize in one area....airframe or powerplant not airline experience or airline type aircraft and have experience in both areas.....nore do they have heavy maintenance or assembly experience....thats fine if they accept this pay not talking bad or saying it isnt good for them....love the military and what they do just saying boeing is low balling the experienced mechanics out there.

My first thought as well... There are plenty of people who would be elated to make 17.50 an hour. Brad I understand your point... If you wer working in Mass or New Hampshire or California for example you may make 25 an hour or so. But then again the cost of living for those areas make up for it.

My brother in law came down from Boston some years ago. He said our house would be worth two to three times the value it is here up there. He paid twice as much for his and it wasn't as much of a house.

My feelings on the NLRB.... You make things so difficult for businesses to work, there alternatives are going to be to take action to make things better.

Heck even in Georgetown.. The Steelmill. They asked for workers to take pay cuts to help them stay in business. They didn't want to do so... Guess what happened. They closed down... My guess is many after were working other jobs for less money than they would have if they took the pay cut.
