let's see if you can understand the difference:
A black clown for the edification of whites is usually a a well educated negro whose role it is (in cosby's case thru comedy) to lead other black people down a blind road toward white supremacy by acting like they are just regular "respectable" people.
A black clown is a fool (like a martin lawrence or cedric the entertainer, etc.) who think they are act'in black by cursing, wearing pink suits with green shoes, rolling their eyes, looking like they just stepped out of a south georgia briar patch. They act out their exposure to white supremacy.
o.k. i see what you mean now.i just always looked at them for their comedy.but yeah,i do see the difference

<quoted text>Larry - thats my dude (respectfully - younger people's language - good brother) that is how you reach people. Admit when you are wrong and vice versa; acknowledge different opinions - come to some agreement (consensus); however, never loss sight -"we are on the same side" so it behooves us to work together. No one ever questioned if Mr. Cosby is speaking some truths. The question is if Mr. Cosby truly understand the entire picture? If Mr. Cosby can relate to our struggles from the sidelines without getting our input? The question is what does Mr. Cosby sees wrong with America? Does America do no wrong? Therefore, if Mr. Cosby feels move to criticize us - should not he criticize the controllers of the schools, police departments, hospitals, administrators of program intended for us, or governmental officials in our communities? If he does not, I respectfully suggest to you, Mr Cosby is being hypocritical! I respectfully suggest others are going to use Mr. Cosby's words to breed indifference with our realities. Stay strong and big ups (accolades) to you going to the plate and adopting!
I understand your point because everytime a black person criticizes another black person someone will use that to say see I told you so , but
we still must deal with our own issues before we can deal with society.

Don't get me started on what we have to deal with in schools , police , simply trying to get a job and don't mention trying tto buy a house . We
know we have to twice as good to get half as much , but we always have and always will .

I always love it when young brothers are aware of what is going on . Be Good and Thanks

What probably happened is he caused a scene with Cosby, Cosby probably said something to the casting director and Howard got a bad rep. Don't think he "blackballed" Howard, just an incident that gave him a bad name.

but, but, Cosby says we should teach our youth how to act. Should adults give youngster a "bad rap" because MABYE they did something youthfully foolish?

Are you beginning to see the dichotomy?

now if Dave Chappell would step up and deny the Coz's role in it's demise, we'll just deal with the logic of his statements and not the actions of the person..
