Spike Lee Attacks All-White Hollywood

Spike is definitely a black man's black man. He's so righteous he can pick a black person out of an audience who aspires to succeed, doing the white man thing, calling him or her out as a "sell out." I suppose as long as he can afford to live in his exclusive surroundings, keeping himself safe from the drug-infested streets where his fans live and work, let the righteousness continue.

I agree with spike lee, there needs to be more black executives to put more blacks in movies that will show that talent. I am so tired of the down play of blacks in the movies that white executives agrees to put out, so far the only one I like to see his movies is Spike lee and Tyler Perry. I am a up coming film maker, I am in college right now and graduate next year, so beware and watchout. Love for my black filmmakers.

I thought that I would share my son, Michael Moore's, story with you in hopes that perhaps you might be able to assist us in letting others know about his situation We need so desperately to get someone to look into his case so he can receive due process.

My son, Michael, was railroaded by the judicial system here in Tallahassee and I am sure this has happened to other young black males. Someone needs to get the story out as to why blacks are so disproportionately incarcerated and whether they are receiving due process. My son has suffered much depression over this situation and the entire family has been in turmoil. We ask that someone look into misconduct and abuse by judges, prosecutors and attorneys in the courtroom which result in blacks not receiving due process.

Please help us to get the word out to as many people as possible about this travesty in Tallahassee, Florida which is known to send more blacks to prison than many of the larger more metropolitan areas. It is truly by design that over 70% of the prison population is African-American and while prisons are such big businesses now in rural counties.

Tallahassee is a college town with FSU and FAMU; yet FAMU students are usually targeted for offenses that FSU students get dismissed. Whites are protected so they can continue on with their education with the excuse being "just youthful indiscretions" while blacks are incarcerated and seen as expendable. Blacks are hit with felonies left and right which means that their rights are taken from them and will no doubt result in recidivism because of not being able to find jobs to support themselves or a family. Whites, on the
other hand, are given misdemeanors and allowed to go on with their lives.

I am not African-American, but i am an African Canadian, and we have the same issues here in Canada. For a Country that did not take part in slavery black people are still treated the same as they do in America, so i can relate simple because i am black and i watch all Amreican Movis with only white people. A simple thing as Canadian Idle shows how racist Canada really is, i have seen sooooooooo many talented black singers on Canadian Idel but they never got picked or even stayed long enough to win. Why does Spike Lee assume they're are black executives who could run a Hollywood studio?

I just had a real dumb experience with the local black run post office. I'm mailing a package, I pay extra for a tracking number, and the fools give me one but don't scan it so it doesn't go into the system. Then when you ask the black station manager about it, he says, "The important thing is we get the package delivered."

Here's a guy who just doesn't get it. ZOOOOOM, the whole concept of why tracking numbers was invented goes right over his head. He and his employees do the minimum they have to to draw their government checks.

I've read a little about Hollywood and it's no U.S. Postal operation. Put an Affirmative Action black in one of those studios, he makes a mistake, and that could sink the whole studio.

Look what Robert Johnson did to BET.

I don't think racism in Canada is anywhere near that in the USA. I wouldn't use a television show as "proof" of racism in Canada. Live in Mississippi or Alabama for a year and then talk about racism. You ain't SEEN RACISM.

Where in Mississippi or Alabama? I've lived in both places and find them (these days) to be not racist at all.

Have you ever been to either state?

I am aware that Racism in American is worst than it is in Canada.
