Unfortunately, some people are so passionate about what they are saying that the "waterworks" do come down. I am one of those people who has so much feeling that I do cry easily. When you feel strongly, this happens. It's not that she is "acting" it's that she is passionate about what she's saying.
I agree. I'm not much different. I do not like confrontation and when emotions get high, I just break down. I can't help it, never liked it either. So I try to avoid arguements to that level.

To all those who think they should be able to say the N-word because Black people say it. You ever call you family member an idiot or something worse? What do you do when someone else does it?
You tell them off. Why would you think you have a right to force yourself into their personal space? You are not a part of the circle. I know there are going to be people saying if you call you family or someone close to you a name anyone should call them it. Then that person who says this or anything like it is a lair. I have seen and heard people of all race and in different language call their kids, wives, friends, and family names that they would go postal if a random person or someone outside their circle were to say it.
Though our worlds are still different they are coming together. Though slow it shows great promise for our nation’s future if we can at least talk about these subjects.
but the difference between "idiot" or "bit@#" is that even in the worst negative sense, it's not as harmful as the "n" word. I understand there are two different cultures, and we shouldn't all have to live under the same cultural rules, but for blacks to consider it such an evil word, but then turn around and use it as much as possible, it's a double standard! If blacks want all to be considered equal, don't create rules that only divide people.

The N-word belongs to whites, not blacks. Every time I hear a black use the N-word at another black, I smile proudly and think...yes, he is an N-word. And whites will continue to use it proudly just slightly out of the earshot of blacks. We always have, and always will.

You are an idiot and you don't even believe what your dirty mouth is saying. And I'm almost positive you are hiding behind this blog in order to spew your ignorance. I know for a fact that you wouldn't have the nerve to say that or any other derogatory word to a black person. You sir, are a coward.

Whoopi should be the one crying. 'It' has to look like a simian troll for the rest of her life. Sometimes I wonder if God created darkies just for laughs.

In the entire history of the world there has never been a word outlawed untill now...why now and what makes blacks so 'special' that they can't endure the words that the rest of us must endure everyday and yet we don't run to the N.A.A.C.P. and bitch'n moan about it.

Frankly am tired of over-sensitive 'N's.

I totally agree with you in regards to Elisabeth. Naive is such a correct term for her. I knew this was going to happen. I can't wait to see the posts made on this subject.
I agree about Elisabeth too, she is not only naive she is full of herself. See how she interrupts people - but if anyone does it back to her she sulks. Don't like the lady. I don't watch The View anymore but wish I had seen this one - it was only a matter of time before EH fought with someone else.

Take it up with Jesse Jackson. He is the one who called every black person in America a N-word on national television.

He did not call every black person in America that. State the facts and stop lying and misquoting.

Going on NY schools today is, what I consider, a subtle form of reverse discrimination.
When I went to school the grade point average was based on major subject i.e. Math, English, History, Science and Foreign Languages.
Today grade point average includes Hygene (including Gym), Music, Art.
My grandchild, a merit scholar candidate on her SAT, has her grade point average lowered because she is not agile, doesn't play in the school band, and isn't interested in drawing etc.
I think that was done to boost minority kids who might normally do these things as pastimes.
Here is what Obama's solution is. http://hughhewitt.townhall.com/blog/g/d968481... Not only that but a education with college should only take 16 years and for a PHD another 4 so why is it that African Americans still need extra points or affermative action when they go to the same schools and have the same teachers along side the white kids. Affermative action was to level the playing field because prior to the 70s they said they did not have the same advantage as other children. That is why desegregation was enforced. It has now been over 35 years so how is that argument still relivant. Other things that are not right are things like Black Entertainment TV, United Negro College Fund, NAACP, TV stations that will only cover the democratic primary because their viewers they said were mostly black and not cover the republican primary, Miss Black American Contest, etc. If you were to replace the word Black or European American that would be racist. When I was in college I was working at a min wage job, raising a family, had a 4.0 avg. and after I had already completed 80 credit hours and could not get any help other than a pell grant and student loans. And yet in the school paper they announce if you are a minority student with more than 6 credit hours and a 2.0 we have money for you so don't think only black people are mistreated.
