Diana 'booed', Billy Ocean reigns supreme on jazz festival's closing night

“What we signed was a standard contract. It wasn't until the eleventh hour that we were advised that she (Diana Ross) would not allow her image to be shown on the big screens”

Such arrogant behaviour!!! Who does she think she be..an old washed up black woman who insulted her people. I booed loudly and she deserved every boo she got. OUT OF ORDER. She will never grace the stage in this country again. yOu can bet yur life on that.

Thank god for Billly Ocean and Anita baker. She could learn a lot from them if she cares to. Something tells me she lacks the capacity to!!!

Speaking of arrogance!!! Tunkey, the organizers and this "diva" totally underestimated this audience.

As I heard the announcement of limited video feed, I realized that many in the audience were not listening or were not aware of what was to come.

My sense of dread was magnified when the screens up front remained dead as she started her performance. I am not a fan of Miss Ross but all my friends and the people around me were eagerly anticipating her performance and I was angry for them, more so than for myself.
It was totally unfair and I led my section in "booing" until I finally lost my voice.

By the third song, I took up my chair in protest and "booed" my way to the back of the venue, to join those who could not "see" and could barely hear what was going on on stage.

Are the promoters being truthful that she pulled a fast one at the last minute? I don't know. Rather, I am leaning more to believing that she would have stipulated her requirements in her contract. What I do know, is that we were royally ripped off by both Turnkey Productions and "Miss Ross". The boos directed at her were also meant for Walter Elmore and Turnkey!!!!!!!!
