Just a little feedback. I personally never went on this lemonade diet nor ever followed any strict regimen. I am a naturally thin person but gained about 20 lbs over 3 years when I moved to the US (I lived in Europe). I decided to lose all the extra weight in January and I am happy to say that I lost it all and even a little more. Back to size 0-2 :) My method was simply to cut all the fried food, so no more fries, burgers, chips etc..., no more candy bars and such, basically no more of anything that has a lot of empty calories in it. Also no more processed foods for 4 weeks and drink a lot of sugar free liquids (green tea is my BFF). You also need to get busy because most people tend to eat when bored. This works really well and is sustainable on the long run. Also, cheating once or twice (MAX) a week is fine. You can gradually get back to eating regular food after a month or two but watch the QUANTITIES. Nothing is forbidden but just have a couple of bites and that's it. Get full on healthy stuff. As you may have seen, Beyonce's diet was short-lived. She gained all the weight back so I would not recommend it for weight loss, more for cleansing. If you live in NYC, Energy Kitchen can be a good option if you want to control the calorie intake while enjoying fast-food type food. Not the best taste but you will feel very full on less than 400 cal a meal. If you work out, it is even better. I don't but results will faster if you are not like me. If anyone needs motivation, I'll be happy to provide :) Good luck!

not here to mimic wrote: this is just soooo sad people! Come on?? I'm a 24yr old female, and I wiegh approx 133 @ 5'4. Which is not the 115 I would love to be. I've bounced around for yrs trying to acheive something that I can't change over nite. THIS IS A LIFE STYLE CHANGE. I can't keep up my LOVE for food and maintain a 115 goal. THIS IS THE SAME FOR ALL OF YOU! Please girls don't mess with u'r metabolisms, vitamins, in u'r bodies. if u want to do this cleanse for 3days 2 detox b4 you begin a healthy regime---that's fine. But, any longer and now u are on a slippery slope to anorexia...BE CAREFULL WHAT U WISH FOR.... BTW----I have attempted this cleanse 1yr ago when I weighed 126pnds. NOTICE I NOW weight 5pnds more. Most likely Bcuz i've shot my metabolic rate down from messing with it some much. But, you know what...I've realized the best diet/lifestyle is the one YOU personally can do. STOP WITH THE EXTREMES. much luv s ....oh my, someone sounds like a failure.... Could not agree more. Anything that cannot be reasonably sustained for the rest of one's life or a long period of time is not to be pursued unless you are willing to gain the weight back (that's the best that can happen to you actually) or to seriously jeopardize your health. Honestly people, how long will you be able to feel deprived, feeding yourself exclusively with nasty tasting liquids?? You know you can't. So unless you're on a multi-million dollar contract to weigh less (like your idol beyonce and so on), don't do it. Just cut off the stuff your body doesn't really need... and there is a lot.

S, how can you say that people shouldn't do this diet? You are the perfect size. Their are people like you and then there is people like me. I just turned 24 aug.3 and I have to wonderful girls 2 and 1. I am the only parent in there life and I'm going to school. I was in a size 13 befor I had kids and now I'm at 275 pounds. I have a history of high blood presure and heart attacks in my family, I currently have high blood presure, I'm not on pills yet but if I don't do something quick then I will be for the rest of my life, so if not this diet then what?

I don't see why 30min exercise wouldn't work. How about trying out the water diet for 2-3 days and then move to a healthy diet, with actual food? I don't think it's safe if followed for a longer period of time.

Trust me, there are many options other than a water diet. By the way, the weight does not matter, it is a woman's perception of herself that makes her decide to go on a diet. Again, if you know that you can't drink water, lemon, cayenne and maple syrup for the rest of your life, how can you see this as a solution? what's going to happen once you're back on regular food? If you really need a dietary supplement: I've tried Xenadrine EFX. I found it helpful although you still to watch what you eat. But it somehow boosts your metabolism and keeps you active. You therefore burn more cals and don't feel tired (as you would on when dieting). It is important to follow the instructions on the label. It was efficient but side effects include stomach cramps, frequent bowel movements and if you smoke, nausea when smoking. Nothing serious though so I recommended to my mother too.
