That isn't really a big issue tho, it's more about class and who has more money and connections, skin colour is really insignificant compared to that That's more so the case with women ,not so much with men.I agree though .I don't know about them having it better ,because we're all niccas in the white mans eyes ,but most people will say a lightskin woman is more attractive than a darkskin woman, which is rediculous.

Yes yes thats what i meant, with women, they'll more likely get a second look or lets say a dark skinned woman and a light skinned woman are walking somewhere, the light skinned one is more likely to get called but not all the time. Cuz this one time me and my light skinned friends were walking around, i was walking behind them too, and i was getting this unbelievable attention that i could not understand as opposed to them. I just took it as i'm more approachable looking maybe

Also, people of all races have been pushed to the side for different reasons: Such as: A woman with Big Breast vs a Woman with small flat chest.(skin tone does not matter) A woman with a big firm butt (black men know where I am going with this) VS a woman with a flat butt. A fine black chocolate man VS a short fat stubby bald guy. A young fine sexy chick, with a tight body, of any color VS a 50 year old menapausal nagging woman. A man that is packing and requires a MAGNUM (CONDOM) VS a man that is packing light and requires a magnifying glass to find his piece. Come on guys, get REAL!!!! LOL-that was good!

They experience less discrimination and are able to move up in society more easily. I’m dark skinned and I notice how the light skinned blacks on my job are more accepted and treated better. There are also studies proving that light skinned blacks are treated better. I hate my skin color and feel as if I’m being punished for something I have no control over. I'm a light skin black.Rachael your a racist troll.

There were times I was turned down for jobs or gigs, but I never thought I was not accepted because of my skin color. I guess I have alot of pride for myself. I can't blame certain things I did not get in Life, when I wanted them, on my skin tone. Trust me, I have everything I need. I feel everyone has to struggle, I do not see any lightskinned person in my area, doing better than I am because of their skin complexion. Cosigns

Good for you. i am lightskinned and in my experience light skinned people do get treated better. Its not only in America, i am from the west indies, and although its changing , it is still easier for lighter skinned people to get jobs etc.

You mean to tell me you got a job based solely on your lightskin. Are you saying that your employer skipped over your knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties. Do you actually think a company would risk their Revenue and business to hire a less qualified lightskinned BLACK person for a position. I THINK......NOT I worked for the Gov't for a long time, and I was hired due to my K.S.A. At the present time, I just started my own business and I am doing rather well, also, I hire my employees based on their experience. I could care less about skin tone. I see people of every skin tone being pushed aside for VARIOUS reasons. Your looks and body types, also sometimes it is not WHAT you know it is WHO you know. Black people harboring on skin color issues, is so outdated since the 1960's. I could see if I was auditioning for the cotton club in 1928, but get REAL FOLKS, this is 2008. It is all about MONEY and POWER.

My point is my husband was hired on his job and promoted several times, because he can work his butt off also he is highly qualified. Not, because of his skin tone. So are you saying the only way you were hired, was due to your skin complexion??? WOW!!!! I would feel less than fabulous, if that was the case. If I have to get a job based on my skin tone and not on my INTEGRITY I would feel USED and CHEAP. I pride myself in having the power of persuasion, and also for loving myself for GOD creating me as a WOMAN. When I walk in a room, I get the upmost respect, because of how I carry myself and my mannerism.

And I can't believe this is back again. BUT on their hard road to success light skinned Blacks are treated better. This is a fact and old as the dust and will not change. People assume better things about light skinned people and are nicer. My mother and sisters are all light skinned, and I am not and I observed this daily for the whole of my life.

I dont' even think she is being serious, especially since she said she wanted to abort her child if they are dark skin. I truly believe that black is black, and we need to sto making differences between the different skin tones.

Both of my parents are black and im light skin and I have faced the same treatment from these crackers like dark skin blacks have, but every time I turn around I see people going after light skin people like we have it easier when we not only have to deal with these filthy devils, but we have to face dissrespect from dark skin blacks aswell so explain how the f*** do we have it better when we have to deal a bunch of stupid azz nicca's that still belives everything the white man tells them. And the last time I check Oprah, Bob Johnson are not light skin and they are the two riches black people in america even though they are a couple of mother****ing uncle toms that love to pleasing white people.

Listen i can understand that ,so if i offended you in anyway i personally apologize. That is true .You guys have to take shit from the white man ,because you black ,and shit from your own people because you aren't so called "black enough". However ,i do still believe that alot of lightskin blacks sometimes think they're somehow better ,because they're closer to the white mans complexion. And when you said yall have to take shit from darkskin blacks ,were you refering to brown blacks or real darkbrown blacks, because the lightskin blacks i know say they take shyt from all blacks who aren't lightskin ,the brown and darkbrownskin ones. chocolate flavor
