Getting "back" to work implies that they have worked at some point. Everyone knows that the average black man doesn't enter the workforce until his late 20s, while everyone else has had at least part-time employment since they were about 16.

Black men also are at high risk of turn-over in almost every field. On-the-job drug use and theft of company property is also an issue. Hiring them is a bad-bet for most employers except possibly the NFL, since few non-blacks want to be in such an environment.
