Good point, but I don't think expendable isn't the only word I'd choose to describe them but exploitable as well. Like I said, the low self-worth these sistas have explains why they feel they worthless to us brothas and allow themselves to be denigrated by us men.It's as if they don't care anymore about whatever happens to them and this is why we men need to do something about this by showing respect to and placing extreme value and worth in terms of their essential qualities on our sistas. Black women and black men have help destroy our young girls and it's time we
put an end to it now.

Black women are very expendable to society. Gloria Steinem, in speaking about Black women being lynched, said that there wasn't even a term for this.

When young Black men were unfortunately hurting and killing one another, the Black community rallied and began many organizations and even a whole movement to stop the violence.

Now that young Black women are having problems, there isn't even an organization to address them.

In 2006, the rate of gonorrhea among African Americans was 658.4 cases per 100,000 population. Overall, the rate of gonorrhea among African Americans in the United States was 18 times greater than that among whites.

In 2006, the gonorrhea rate among African-American men was 25 times higher than that among white men; the gonorrhea rate among African-American women was 14 times higher than that among white women (Figure P).

In 2006, gonorrhea rates were highest for African Americans aged 15 to 19 and 20 to 24 years among all racial, ethnic, and age categories. African-American women aged 15 to 19 years had a gonorrhea rate of 2,898.1 cases per 100,000 women. This rate was 14 times greater than the 2006 rate among white women of similar age (208.7). African-American men in the 15-to 19-year-old age category had a 2006 gonorrhea rate of 1,503.8 cases per 100,000 men, which was 39 times higher than the rate among 15- to 19-year-old white men of 38.4 per 100,000. Among those aged 20 to 24 years, the gonorrhea rate among African Americans was 16 times greater than that among whites (2,560.7 and 165.0 cases per 100,000 population, respectively)(Table 21B).

African Americans - Between 2005 and 2006, the rate of P&S syphilis among African Americans increased 16.5%(from 9.7 to 11.3). In 2006, 43.2% of all cases of P&S syphilis reported to CDC were among African Americans and 38.4% of all cases were among non-Hispanic whites (Table 33A). Compared to whites, the overall 2006 rate for African Americans was 5.9 times higher (Table 33B). In 2006, the P&S rate among African-American men was more than five times higher than that among white men; the rate among African-American women was more than 16 times higher than that among white women. In some age groups, particularly 15-19 year old African-American men, disparities have increased markedly in recent years as rates of disease have increased (Figure U).

Congenital Syphilis

In 2006, the rate of congenital syphilis (based on the mother's race/ethnicity) was 24.2 cases per 100,000 live births among African Americans and 15.4 cases per 100,000 live births among Hispanics. These rates are 15.1 and 9.6 times higher, respectively, than the 2005 rate among whites (1.6 cases per 100,000 live births)(Figure V, Table 40).

In general, the people of the USA value life less today than we did years ago. There is a phony fasade
that it is still important, but in reality, I dont think that's the case.

All dovetails in with the downfall of America, the once great country is on the road trodden by other great empires which are now in the dust.

This is true unfortunately. Face it: Nobody cares or gives a damn about black women. Amerikkka will LOVE to get rid of us, but Amerikkkans love black men and prefer them over us. Why do you thin so many people side with black men and crucify black women? That's why I can't wait to move out of Amerikkka because black women don't even matter to Amerikkka. But one day, this country will reap what they have sewn and ALL will regret how they treated black women.

Black men are attacked on a daily basis. Hell look at this forum. We are attacked 3X as much than black women. 50% of the time its other black women such as yourself.

Hello again. You make a valid point....

I don't think that America is necessarily "in love" with Black men as a whole, but you are more VISIBLE.

There are two old sayings that apply here...
"All the Blacks are men...all the women are White...but some of us are brave."

and

"It is better to be looked over than overlooked".

Black men are the cool friends, the jocks, the interesting nerds, the villians of society....this is people's opinions of you.

You are FEARED if not respected. SEEN if not heard. DESIRED if not fully wanted.

No, Black men are not the darlings of the world, but people know you EXIST.

This drives me to reexamine how I look at black women, treat black women, and explore new wyas to help and support black women. I can't speak for others, but this is another wake up call for me.

My daughter is not expendable! Neither are the daughters other African Americans in this country.

If all black men think like you do, blacks would be so much better off in America. Right now blacks need to respect themselves and take responsibility for themselves. That is the quickest ticket out of the downtrodden state many blacks are in. If black women don't respect themselves, then why should the rest of the world?

Exactly. BTW, WHY do you think that black women in this country are ignored so much? I mean, in most cultures, the men are usually ignored, but in the black culture, the women are ignored.
Anyway, I feel this country owes all black women an apology for how they treat us.
