Technology has already rearch the point that can show us that we are all apart of each other as human being, now all we need is for most peoples minds to catch up and rearch this point.
It is amazing how man has went to the moon and back and still don't want to accept this truth but there are people out there concerned about whether or not we come from monkeys instead of focusing on what we have in common with each other. What a shame. And once we find out that we are all related and accept it, all of this "I am better than you" stuff is abolished. See you later Free.

I am referring to Sicilians like actor John Turturro seen below with very curly hair that is coarser then most Caucasian hair and who is darker than most Caucasians also.
http://imagecache2.allposters.com/IMAGES/MG/1...
Secondly, just because the someone is Italian doesn't mean that they are of Sicilian heritage or mixture of Northern and Southern Italian, many of the green or blue eyed, fair haired Italians are of Northern Italian heritage.
Thirdly remember I said some (not all). Though she doesn't have coarse hair like John, just look how dark and ethnic Sicilian actress Sophia Loren looks compared to Madonna, a person of Northern Italian ancestry.

You keep mentioning coarse hair. Now, do you mean coarse, or do you mean kinky? Coarse hair means hair whose strands are strong and thick in diameter. Many Asians have coarse hair, although it is stick straight. As for John Tuturro, I remember the scene in Do the right thing, where Spike Lee pointed out his hair, and told him he as an Italian had to have African ancestry because of it. I thought it was funny, because I didn't think he looked remotely black. If I had to guess something besides Italian, I would probably guess he could be Jewish, or possibly Turkish or Greek, but not Black. And those names I listed in my links are Sicilian. Don't believe Sinatra or Dimaggio were Sicilian? Look it up!!! You brought up Brando as a typical looking Sicilian or Southern Italian, and I had to laugh because, guess what? Brando had zero Italian in him. Yes, he starred in the Godfather, and yes he had an O at the end of his name, but Brando was of Dutch, Irish and English descent.

Which just goes to show you, you can't judge Europeans ancestry, by something as superficial as their hair or eye color, or the fact that they might tan easily. Sean Connery is fully Scottish, and had very dark hair and eyes, when he was younger and always tanned very easily. Most Italians might have brown hair and eyes, but not all, and you can't classify them as Black just because they aren't light. Finally you mention Sophia Loren, who I love and suggest she is an example of a darker Italian with African blood. Is that why her Mother won a Greta Garbo look alike contest? Garbo was Swedish btw, not black. Being of Italian ancestry, I just love how you find yourself more an expert on my people, and feel you need to set me straight. What a laugh.

Just to be precise, Sofia's father had a sicilian father and a venetian mother. I don't know about her mother. And Rome isn't north Italy, it's in the centre.
Anyway, I really don't care, we are what we are, most have dark hair and brown eyes, some looks northern european, some are a little bit dark in complexion. There's a topic on that, over 1000 posts, made by people that have never been to Italy, arguing without any sense and never arriving at a conclusion. One thing I learned about topix is: everyone has its own opinion and most won't change it.
Francesca Chillemi (yummy), Miss Italia from Sicily http://www.tgcom.mediaset.it/bin/470 .$plit/orig_C_0_articolo_38515 0_listatakes_itemTake_1_immagi netake.jpg
Carmen Consoli, singer from Sicily

That singer nickname is Marracash
Well I know that you don't have to visit Italy to it's history or the ethnicity of some of it's people. When I say coarse I mean kinky, the type of hair like the actor John. Many people make the mistake of thinking that all people with African ancestry, including African American all are jet black, have big flat noses, thick lips and cotton ball eyes which is common to west Africans but this is far from the truth. I am very dark but I have thin lips, high check bones and a small nose. Look at Ethiopian chef Marcus Samuelsson below. If his skin was lighten a few shades, he would definity resemble many Sicilian men and them him.
It isn't an accident that John and other Sicilian resemble Marcus Samuelsson.

You're right. That's why I care more about the culture, the way a person is, his/her values instead of looking through his/her heritage (even if sometimes it's interesting)
That is great that you see kinship based on culture rather an race or skin color but sad to if thousands of Italian speaking black Africans who was immersed in the Italian culture, came to live in Northern, Central or Southern Italy they would still not be accepted by the Italians there.

Ethiopian Chef Marcus.

Sophia Loren having a Garbo looking mom doesn't stop her from having African ancestry no more than Halle Berry having a blonde blue eyed mother stops her from having African ancestry so do be ridicious.

I used to date an Italian and I'm black and he wouldn't date anyone except they were Black. He couldn't stand his own race when it came to dating. He would'nt even date a Black guy if they were "LIGHT SKINNED". They had to be caramel colored to dark skinned Blacks for him to date them.

Freebird, you are pretty stupid. You speak of things you don't know. Rome in north Italy??? HAHAHAHAHAH!!! The Italian guy made you notice your mistakes but you prefered to ignore it like the stupid you are.
Who spread the news Marlon Brando is Italian?? Some other morons like the ones who argue about us without knowing anything.
Turturro is half Italian and known for being able to play Italian, Jewish characters and so on.
All of you ignorant Americans or foreigners should learn that Sicily is in Italy, part of Italy. In few words, Sicilians are Italians, not a different race. If not, then we can say north Africans have white in them. Idiot!
Instead of feeding your stomach with the crap you eat over there, go to a library and start to learn. You Blacks need to accept that you can't have it all.
