Bankrupt it by committing it to $$trillions worth of debt-financed war that the majority of voters have no friggin clue about because they're just as stupid with their own household finances, as Bush is with the nation's. I'd say that's a great reason alone to vote for Obama that has NOTHING to do with race. Let's hope he wins. Smarter???? Must be his white side...LOL.

This must be a [undercover]Hilary blog. I have not seen such a decent candidate in the democratic party since Carter. Everyone just seems to love to embellish on what the foolhardy newscasters & their 30 second frame crap delivers to the "dumbing down of Americans these days." Think about it, it was the American people who elected Bush & Cheney {Oil men}TWICE? If you want the real news watch link tv, bbc, public broadcasting where proffesional journalism still exists.

Fact of the matter: Obama is on a roll and that's where the Dem's money is headed. You've heard it's better to be a live jackal than a dead lion... But it's far better to be a live lion. And easier.(Robert Heinlein) The sanctimonious whites who suddenly appear to "testify" that they loved neegras all along; the line of bubble-headed actors and actresses who go on record that they love Obama and have absolutely finished their rehab; the ambitious politicians who jumped from Hillary's boat as soon as it began taking on water; the zero attention span kids who think they'd like to bring Chris Rock home to meet Mom... We are a consumer society which means if you package cat food and call it the Redondo Beach Diet, it will fly off the shelves. Here comes the Oracle of Change. Small change, I might add. Obama is a Socialist in a country that is headed that way but very slowly. His mission is to "do the right thing" as he sees it. So far so good. We could use someone educated, eloquent and not so hard on the eyes. But his notion of domestic and foreign policy trashes the 17th and 18th centuries that brought this nation into being and substitutes a famous Huey Long concept, Share the Wealth. Some of his constituents are accustomed to living on a dole and they will dance in the streets for more. The young who flutter to the bright lights of anything with a beat are his second wave of support. They've never had to work for anything in their lives and don't see any reason to start now. Aren't celebrities wonderful? And he has a separate nation forming behind him that wants "our turn" more than it wants to be American. Could we do worse? We already have. Could we do better? Probably, but the smart money is off Hillary now because her merchandising failed to keep Bill in deep freeze. "You can't vote against Obama and not be a racist" is something you hear again and again. "Well jeez, honey, I don't want to be no racist; guess I better go vote for Obama." That's the most effective propaganda I've seen since the Nazis. Sure it's politics, so what else is new? I guess the affirmative-action bunnies are coming home to roost. The closet-socialists who miss Pete Seeger songs, the bored and overweight women who look forward to Oprah more than sex... Today, you can't criticize Obama without being hate-inspired. Well, you'll get what you pay for since you can't or won't read the fine print. But you can't take this purchase back for store credit.

Sue wrote: <quoted text> as per one of your sentences: "You can't vote against Obama and not be a racist......guess I am a racist....he isn't getting my vote and personally I don't care for either one that is running for the Presidency Here's the thing: under our laws you are allowed to be a racist if that's what floats your boat. You aren't allowed to hire and fire on that basis. You can't stand in someone's way or deny them access to schools, transportation, medical care, government services, courtrooms, department stores... But what you believe in your heart of hearts is your own business. Or at least it was until having an opinion on racial or ethnic dynamics became "un-moral." If you want to teach your children that Blacks are genetically inferior to Whites, it's a stupid assumption, but you cannot be denied that right. You can't teach them to go out and burn people's homes or paint slogans on their cars, but your opinion is private property than can't be taxed or taken from you. At least not yet. During wartime you are allowed to declare yourself a conscientious objector to violence and avoid serving in that capacity. But you've got to prove it and offer a quid pro quo for your denial. You DON'T have to search your heart for a warm fuzzy feeling about any group, race or ethnicity because other people do. There is no mandated national dry-cleaning service for racially-motivated opinion or personal position. Want to march with the American Nazis? Your privilege. Think the KKK deserves your respect? Your choice. Want to vote for any Black politician who promises to "make Whitey pay" for your crappy life? As long as no violence is included, it's your right. If you want to refer to yourself as a Hyphenated American and insist that generations past heritage be honored on your citizenship ID, that's your privilege. If that serves only to perpetuate the split between you and the country you live in, that's your choice. One of the rules of the road in the US is that you don't have to be an American-American if you don't want to. The only reward to falling in line with other peoples' opinions is that you don't have to think for yourself. But go ahead. It's your right. For now, anyway.

You can't stand in someone's way... Give it a rest Recordo. Anyone can vote against Obama for non-racist reasons. There are sincere, well-intentioned folks out there who firmly believe that this nation is at a pivotal moment in its history, and that The Global War on Terror cannot be relaxed and that by God, McCain is the man. Some of them believe that electing a secretly Muslim President who's been endorsed by Hamas is the gravest of threats to national security, and that Obama absolutely must be kept out of the Oval Office... See? I know how the non-racist script against Obama works. Will millions of American voters cast their vote *against Obama* in November with the above script rolling through their heads? Yes! Does this make them racist? Not at all. Does it make them dumber than a box of rocks? In many cases, YES. In other cases, folks are of above-average IQ, but just woefully ignorant. One in ten white American adults is functionally illiterate - and that's certainly not a crime. But it *should be*.

Good Point! And that is exactly why I am voting for Obama. It is because of the terrorist threat that McCain/Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld do not have a CLUE! We cannot defeat terrorism by bombing the hell out of them. We only create more terrorism. The definition of crazy is doing something over and over that does not work! Obama has seen and knows the mindset of Islam. He certainly did not choose that for his girls. He is intelligent enough to understand what we are doing is creating more terrorists. So the woefully ignorant, box of rocks functionally illiterate appears to be you.

The kind I routinely hear CNN news anchors making on live TV. Probably has more to do with Obama's sleep-deprivation or 14-hour workdays than anything else.
