I'll take your bait for a moment here. All the links you presented were in regards to one case, which showed no evidence of being a hate crime. A heinous crime, yes. Should they be put in prison for as long as the law allows for such a crime? In my opinion, yes.
Premeditated murder, murder committed during the execution of another crime, murder to conceal a crime and so on is in my opinion, evil.
However making the argument that this is a hate crime seems (a bit) fallacious. There is not some ongoing war or criminal conspiracy against whites perpetrated by minorities. There are criminals in among every racial group and their actions surely don't define the mindset and behavior of all.
I know it's hard to resist propaganda, as it seems to run rampant about all racial groups but maybe advocating for victims rights and crime prevention is more credible to stopping violence where ever it springs up. Comparing the Knoxville case to the one mentioned in this thread is not credible. Don't you think?
In fact neither of the cases from what I've read show any indication that they were racially motivated. Are you privvy to information not stated in the article, perhaps? The second seems to be a heinous crime of opportunity. I bet if the couple was black it would not have made a difference to these criminals.
