Lets try this: has anyone here ever taken Organic Chemistry? My personal experience is that I found General Chemistry far more enjoyable because I enjoyed the calculations and associated experiments. It also laid the ground work for my field of employment. Organic, on the other hand, goes in a completely different direction where calculations are almost abandoned entirely. The focus instead is on memorization of structures and "themes". Your take, anyone?
