Aloha! Wow, it seems we have a lot in common. Me and my sisters are 3 years and 3 months apart. Too funny... Here's my email (wendynanderson74@yahoo.com) if you ever want to talk outside of this forum. Take care, |

LOL-that's why I said a lot in common... Why "thank you"! ;) I'm glad I don't look like I weight that. I've lost a lot of weight (but I never reached 230lbs-close but no cigar) and still have more to go... I'm really closer to my younger sister (since we had to share a room growing up). My older sister and I are like oil and water-however we'll team up if an outsider attacks (funny how that works). What about you? |

My relationship with my siblings is so-so. We were fairly close growing up, but as each of us left the house, we kind of went off and did our own thing separate from the family......find ourselves. My brother (the youngest) just recently moved across the country. So our contact is through e-mails and phone. I'm actually close with my sister's son, so that is primarily where the strength of our relationship comes from right now. But we are working on it. .....and oh yeah. I know what you mean. We can have all the inner battles and bickering we want. But nobody else better step to my fam the wrong way...lol |

Yeah, that does tend to happen-especially when you move out of your parent's home and start focusing on making your own life. Do you stay in contact with your parents? My mom makes an attempt to call me weekly since I moved out here. I talk to her more while living out here than when I did living back in MA. |

Mostly holidays, birthdays, barbecues....stuff like that. We were never all that close growing up. But my father and I have had more of a relationship over the past seven years than we did the prior 24. If you don't mind me asking, what brought you to Hawaii? |

Well at least ya'll have a relationship-many don't. No, I don't mind you asking. I came her for vacation in December 03 and fell in love with the island. Since I'm from the East Coast, the cost of housing wasn't a shock. I came back for 3 weeks in May 04 to look for job/housing (no luck on the job unless you have a local address-so I temped when I 1st came here and was eventually hired by the company I was assigned to) and offically moved that December. The rest is herstory...lol |

Why do AA women do that? I'd thought it would opposite like rich White kids or white girls acting ghetto. I could never really figurre out why AA women or even AA men do things they do especially in surburbia?

My life stroy is too long so i'll give you the basics.
I'm 21 Born in February got 7 siblings (one died 2 years ago)....:( I use to be a nursery teacher now i'm doing an economics degree. Had bad teen life, got into all sorts of trouble. I was quite lonely as a child too, even though my family was big i was never noticed. I was bullied as a child for about 5 years of my life even by my own siblings. Life was hell at home for me. I lived in Jamaica for 5 years. I'm Jamaican/trini indian/bajan/scottish/jamaican chinese. I like to have fun. I'm a bit childish and i'm not afraid of embarrassing myself and other people. I've been known to be funny and make other people laugh and i love that cos i like to see others happy. VERY sexual. My sexual side is through the roof. Right now i'm trying to keep it tame. I love food, games, chocolate and strawberry laces. I don't get on with snobby people, racists and bullys. |

I think this is strange. We spent all that time, effort, money to obtain two engineering degrees, right in the middle of it all we are both contemplating a career change. Sorry freeradical, I thought I was crazy when this thought crossed my mind, I am glad I am not the only thinking this way. What do you intend on going into? I am thinking of becoming a Quant. |

I'll add to my story before I head out...
these are my life endangering stories: I was born in Chicago, and at 2 months old my 2 year old brother got RSV, and made me sick with it. At that time, many doctors didn't know what RSV was, I wasn't eating, and my doctor told my mom that I wasn't hungry. It turns out that every muscle in my body was trying its hardest to keep me alive. I'm okay now,=) but I sometimes wonder why my mom didn't sue the doctor. I would have, because he almost killed me!! But I admire her for having such a loving/forgiving attitude. So... now I have asthma. Only hurts when I'm playing a rigorous sport or running a couple of miles. Next, my brother knocked me off of a bunk bed when I was 6. I bit my tongue half way off x_x. Uncontrollably bleeding, I was rushed to the hospital. The doctor said it had to heal on it's own. Luckily, i have a normal tongue!! phew! |
