Maybe you French have short memories-----Who benefitted from the oil for food scandal_-remember that one? By the way---how much did the U.S. invest in rebuilding France at the end of the Second World War? Can you assure us that every penny went where it was supposed to go?

The most pressing problems of opium production and corruption in government, police and the judiciary are problems foreigners cannot solve.
Nation building is a real bitch of a job for a U.S. military was not trained or equipped for that! |

1 Leave it to typical white people to read threads and then place the race race in their comments. Racism is a white man's disease. |

I have found racism to be a trait of the ignorant! In some nations and you will find uneducated people seeking pride, claim superiority over some other racial or ethnic group. Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Indonesia, China, all come to mind! |

Obama's scheme is to build up military presence in Afghanistan to capture/kill Bin Laden for his own political agenda. With Bin Laden holed up in a cave and all of the Al Queda training camps destroyed, where is the terrorist threat in Afghanistan?

1 F Afghanistan. How about you pledge to help Americans? That would be to much to ask for. |

Wayne, you definitely got the wrong Idea of Obama, Obama's mission is not to rid us of terrorist threat, but to bring the terrorist threat to us. Our only help would have been Hillary, and now that is gone.

I would never be able to be a candidate for president, because I don't have the money to do it. But what would you as an American want from your president?....If I were president...my first task would be affordable healthcare for all Americans...Among others would be to help the homeless in America before providing aid to other countries, bring back the jobs that American's have lost as a result of foriegn policy. and get American back on it's feet. We depend to much on other countries, and we need to get back to where it counts, and depend on each other as American's and For American's, we need to be American.

Guess you may have missed it, but the command and control for those that carried out the attacks on the USS Cole, Embassies in Africa, and the US on 9/11 were in Afghanistan protected by the Taliban. When that government fell operations moved to northeastern Pakistan where our forces do not have permission to operate. Are you thinking they have no communications with the outside world? |
Obama’s lead has dwindled, and now it’s a virtual tie. The reason for this is due to the American heartland stepping up. Also, since this is an election based on change, the people are realizing that “Obama‘s” form of “change” is his position. He was so far left a few months ago; he’d make Rosie O’Donnell look like a Klansmen. Now, he’s creeping to the center like Shaq getting ready to dunk. I’m sure, once McCain starts to get some balls, and starts to point out all of this: then Obama is done for. Moreover, once all of those Hollywood actors start to join up for Obama, and start making public announcements for him, then it’s for sure over. That, as you all know, is the kiss of death. I personally would have liked to have seen Romney, but, the media had it’s way, and they got the weakest candidate on the Republican’s ticket nominated. However, McCain is better then the alternative. Obama’s constituents are either left-wing nut jobs, or trendy white guilt 20 something politically correct narcissist. He’s going to get the colored vote no matter what, so, it going to come down to the heartland. I know they’ll do the right thing. |
