Dolphins need Ricky Williams as long as they can keep him on the field
As reporters interrogated Ricky Williams in search of introspection, grinning Dolphins teammate Ronnie Brown tried to get Williams' attention, raising his hands, waving his arms, even leaving his feet.

I figure if Ricky suits up and contributes on the field, it's a bonus. The Dolphins were smart to pick up a couple of RBs in the draft to hedge their bets. If the old Ricky (circa 2002-2003) decides to show up, with this revamped O-line, it could be really fun to watch.
Hopefully, Ronnie Brown can play like he did last season before his injury too. |

Run, Ricky, run!
All he was saying is after football he plans to makeup for some of the wrongs he made in football. |
It will be nice to see Ricky run again, even if it is for only another year or two. Welcome back you weed smokin' SOB!

Ricky has been mentally stressed what with his social-anxiety disorder. It's a REALLY serious disorder for all of you who don't already know.
He has messed up in the past while trying to medicate himself with the Mary Jane in order to combat this disorder. But from what I've read across the boards, he's doing SO much better as of late. Don't sell him short! Run Ricky Run!!! GO #34!!! |
Let's pray this time he is serious about football and specially the Dolphins.

Here come the bleeding hearts, poor Ricky. He smoked dope because he is a pot head. If he has a disorder it came from PPS "Poor Parenting Skills" or NPS "No Parenting Skills"
If you want to feel bad about someone look for someone washing dishes for a living. Not some Poor spoiled rich kid that never grew up because of a drug problem. Just do your job Ricky your being paid well for that. |

I have not read the article but it is un-F*&^$%^&%* believable that we are still talking about Ricky Williams and have crucified Jason Taylor.

I think his comment has to do more with the type of questions people throw at him, he doesn't like the pressure of bieng put on the spot. So i expected he'd give an answer like that.
He's been working hard at practice and he's making peanuts. He hasn't played so he's not going to commit to any lofty expectations. You can bet the bank he's looking for a good year so he can make what he's worth in 2010. Some of what he said has something to do with the Jason Taylor situation and he can't be all that happy with a guy making millions and spurning the Dolphins while hes busting chops for peanuts. |
You got a washed up 34 yr old DE named Taylor that's making $8 million and is
not in camp and playing games with management and getting alot of publicity. Then you have a 31 yr old superstar back making minimum wage in camp busting his butt, what do think he's gonna say? I can see were thi Taylor thing is a distraction like TO, the longer it goes on the worse it gets for the team and the players. You can bet alot of players dislike what Taylor's doing put won't say it publicly. The sooner they dump Taylor the better. |
It should be the otherway around. If your not in camp retire. You support a guy who said he'd rather be known as an Actor than a football player? Crucified? You a moron! |
Who pisssed in your weaties this morning???? |

I could honestly care less about this guy, if he helps great if he doesn't, who expected anything of him anyway?

I wish all the luck in the world to Ricky. He can be a great asset to this team. He will let Ronnie have time to recover. And he will break off some big runs for us I think.

I think Ricky is very sincere with his approach to football now. He has realized that he has a family to support and that he cannot do that wandering around India or sitting in a tent smoking the "Ganja" This guy was an elite talent in '02 & '03. He has very limited mileage on him since then and that is a big plus. sure he broke his arm in playing in Canada, but you don't run with your arms. From what I've seen so far this off-season, he is in as good of shape as ever and with a healthy Ronnie sharing the backfield with him I forsee a two-headed monster of a backfield in Miami for at least two or three more years. That is really something to get excited about. Keep up the great work Ricky and make all of the non-believers eat crow!!! GO DOLPHINS!!!

Well I hope he is in good shape, because if he comes in strong he is still our best running back. I like Brown, but even at his best he was never as good as Williams.
