Potential. That's arguably the greatest aspect of the NFL offseason. No matter if it's through the draft, free agency, or offseason activities, NFL fans have so much reason to be excited about the coming season because their team is undefeated, and no matter how cynical you are, there has to be some sense of optimism among the fan base.

The Denver Broncos added a whole slew of new faces to the team this offseason. Besides Peyton Manning , most of them were on the defensive side of the ball.

Earlier this month, the stats experts at Pro Football Focus posted a very interesting article involving recently-retired Denver Broncos safety Brian Dawkins , stating that he was the most effective pass-rusher in the league from the cornerback and safety positions in 2011.
