Lorenzo Neal's 17th NFL season was short-circuited Wednesday when the Oakland Raiders waived him, possibly signaling the end to the career of one of the league's greatest blocking fullbacks.

So the Raiders won't go 4-0 this season, which isn't so bad. Last year's Lions did.

But Oren O'Neal, one of the more understated fullbacks in the league, is now healthy.
