Schedule doesn't get any easier

Stirring as it was, the Indianapolis Colts' 14-point charge over the final 2:23 Sunday night at Lucas Oil Stadium won nothing more than a game, even though the vanquished was bitter rival New England 35-34. Still, the Colts' position with seven games to play is enviable.

'The Bullitt Shot' heard around the NFL world

Perhaps it's because I've enjoyed a great relationship with S Melvin Bullitt since he arrived at Colts training camp in 2007 as the "undrafted dude with a cool last name." Or maybe it's because letting go of last Sunday night's Colts-Patriots game isn't so easy.

Established media clearly did not like the outcome of Patriots v. Colts Sunday night

This is one of the rare times I link to a Cold Hard Football Facts article. I find many of their writers there pen pieces that read more like a third grader's show-and-tell essay rather than informed sports media.

Bill Belichick heads off victory

Is there an insanity defense for football coaches? That's about the best the "In Bill We Trust" crowd is going to be able to come up with this morning to explain away what happened at Lucas Oil Stadium last night because not even Edward Bennett Williams would try to argue this case in front of a jury of Bill Belichick 's peers.
