It helped tremendously that the defense forced two turnovers in the red zone, but that's part of football. It's difficult to see defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel not being able to devise a game plan to contain Carr after doing it so effectively against RG3.

Running back Maurice Jones-Drew missed practice Wednesday with a hand injury and his status for the regular-season home opener against the Houston Texans is in question. According to CSN-Bay Area, Jones-Drew had a "procedure" on his hand that wasn't considered serious.
