The Ravens are one of the best teams in the league, but they've yet to win a Super Bowl in the Joe Flacco era.

For years, the Ravens lived by one mantra. "Defense wins Championships! " Ray Lewis and the rest of the vaunted defense have kept Baltimore as a perennial contender in the NFL.

The season was a whirlwind for the Ravens ' 2011 class of rookies. It swept them up when the NFL lockout ended last July and dropped them at The Castle in Owings Mills a day later for their first training camp.

Another Ravens organized team activity just came to an end, and coach John Harbaugh , along with the team's coordinators, met the media following it.

In what seems to be a yearly occurrence now during the Ravens OTA's, fans are getting their first glimpses of their new Ravens, not just draft picks and undrafted free agents but new comers from around the NFL brought in to help fill the voids left by free agency or upgrade at positions they were not happy with last season .

The most significant offensive additions the Ravens made this offseason were free-agent wide receiver Jacoby Jones and a pair of rookie linemen in Kelechi Osemele and Gino Gradkowski.

The Baltimore Ravens struggled with their special teams last season, especially when it came to kick coverage and returns.

The Ravens will finish up the first of three voluntary offseason team activities today, though they'll do it outside the glare of the media.

Everybody knows that the Baltimore Ravens two starting wide receivers will be veteran Anquan Boldin and second-year layer Torrey Smith .

There are certain positions where a large degree of risk is required in order to vastly improve.

The Ravens may lack experience at the wide receiver position, but they certainly don't lack depth.

The one glaring weakness in the Baltimore Ravens ' overall performance is their passing game.

They made sure of that today, when not long after agreeing to terms with their top pick - Alabama linebacker Courtney Upshaw - the Ravens struck a deal with sixth-rounder Tommy Streeter, a wide receiver out of Miami.
