Game thread: Detroit Lions at Seattle Seahawks, Nov. 8

LB David Hawthorne intercepts a third-down pass from Matthew Stafford, his second interception of the season, which means that the guy who began this season as a backup linebacker now has as many interceptions as the entire secondary combined.

With the Seahawks Needing a Focus, It's Time for Seattle To Start Running

It's safe to say this wasn't the start Jim Mora envisaged when he took control of the Seattle Seahawks.

Keith Brooking slept in, enjoyed the final few hours of a visit by his brother, then went to Dallas Cowboys headquarters during the afternoon of his "Victory Monday," an extra day off players received as a reward for beating the Atlanta Falcons.

Seahawks Notebook James' Departure Opens Door for Rankin

Louis Rankin may not have impressed scouts enough to hear his name called in the 2008 draft, but he has shown Seattle Seahawks coaches enough for them to part ways with a legend in order to take a closer look at the second-year running back.

Mora's message to Seahawks: Don't give up

If only Jim Mora could create as many wins as messages right now. Seattle's new coach just released some veterans, including Edgerrin James, the NFL's active leading rusher.

NFC West: Seahawks A Long Way From Flying High Again

The Seattle Seahawks had been hoping that a dreadful 2008 campaign was merely a momentary stumble for a franchise that had dominated the NFC's West Division for the better part of this decade.

Seahawks Blog | Game thread: Seahawks at Cowboys

Anyone interested in tackling Sam Hurd? Well, not particularly. At least not in the first quarter when he slipped the tackle of three different Seahawks and scored on a 36-yard touchdown pass to put Dallas ahead 7-3. LM OTERO / AP Julius Jones didn't find much room to run early on in Seattle's game against Dallas.

Two calls against Trufant kill Seahawks in first half

I'm not usually one to harp on the officials, but two questionable pass interference calls on Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant really cost Seattle in the first half as they've fallen behind Dallas 21-10. Despite the score, the Seahawks are doing some encouraging things.

Cowboys cruise past Seahawks

At last, the Dallas Cowboys are showing the consistency they sought. Miles Austin caught a touchdown pass for the third straight game and Patrick Crayton returned a punt for a score for the second consecutive week, sending Dallas past the Seattle Seahawks 38-17 and into a share of first place in the NFC East on Sunday.

Hello, again, Julius Jones

There was a time where Julius Jones was viewed as the next great Cowboys running back with Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith after some electrifying games as a rookie but it never came to light.

Seahawks returning to 'Big D'

RENTON, Wash. - Seattle has its own meaning for "Big D." Big disaster. Not only are the battered Seahawks going back on the road this weekend, where they have lost 10 of their last 12 games, they are returning to Dallas - site of their painful debacle last Thanksgiving Day.
