Goodell has a lot to explain
Like countless people in important positions before him, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell may soon find out that the cover-up is worse than the original mistake. Goodell has mishandled the Ray Rice domestic violence case from the start, at first only suspending the Baltimore Ravens running back for two games in July for knocking out his fiancee Janay in an Atlantic City elevator and carelessly dragging the unconscious woman out of it in February.

Given how NFL commissioner Roger Goodell arbitrarily detonated the Saints' season in 2012 with an overreach that makes A.J. Green look like he has alligator arms, they were among my list of suspects.

Saints News, 9/10/14: Jonathan Vilma Criticizes Goodell Over Rice
Jonathan Vilma is very familiar with Roger Goodell and his zeal for dealing out punishment. The former Saint and only player to ever have the balls to actually sue Goodell for defamation tweeted, "He should be held accountable for his lack of action just like Ray Rice has finally been held accountable for his actions" and "If the commissioner had really asked for the video, he would've made it very public & very clear that the casino refused to give it to him."
