We haven't heard much about Chad Henne. Is he not practicing or not performing?

Jason Allen practicing with the third team. It really amazes me this guy does JUST enough to stay on a team. With the additions in the secondary this year I put my money that scrub doesnt make the roster. His file should read: PROJECT TERMINATED

Omar, it sounds as if the offense is better than the defense right now as you reported several positive plays for them, but not for the defense. Usually early on, the defense is better than the offense. And I know they're just in shorts with no hitting, but is it a proper conclusion to draw from what you've seen that this offense might be ready to break out from its dependence on the wildcat? I'm sure they're not showing anything of the wildcat plays with the press watching.

I have a sneeking suspicion that when it says Pat White threw a TD pass to whoever, it is probably out of the "wildcat". I also hardly call it a dependence because whether you like it or not it is now "part of our offensive package". A non-traditional offense. DAMMIT IT JUST DOWN RIGHT FUN!

Things really aren't looking too good for Jason Allen by the sound of things. His salary doesn't reflect that of a special teamer or back-up player. The same could be said of Ernest Wilford, though I feel he could be a very productive TE. That TE race will be an interesting one with Fasano, Martin, Wilford, and Haynos.

Thanks for the update, Omar

Keep in mind one thing Willford can't catch the ball. That's a pretty big deal for a TE or a WR. He can look as pretty as he likes.

He can catch the ball, he just doesn't seem to be able to gain seperation from the likes of CBs anymore from what I'm hearing. Keep in mind that it was he who made David Garrard a dangerous passing threat in the endzone only two short years ago. Wilford came here and Garrard suffered horribly last year without him.

Yeah, didnt Wilford have the most receptions on the Jags one year??? What the heck went wrong with him when he got here??? Maybe its our system. I dont see much room for him here unless he beats out Haynos or Martins groin doesnt get better. Either way that was allot of cash they gave up for a third TE... Perhaps he will thrive once again in another system, its just a shame we will be giving him away for free cause you know at this point nobodies gonna offer us nothing...

Wilford is history. J.Allen is in trouble. I hope he can hold on. He plays good special teams and is servicable in secondary depth. There was no mention of Murphy or Quinn on the O.L. With Allerman ailing I would have thought Quinn would see some time there at center or guard. Good to see Gardiner making some headway there. I'm looking for people that can out play the back ups already in place on the O.L. I see where ndukwe was back at guard. He played 16 games there last year and was clearly part of the problem. that doesn't bode well to me.
