Good thing for Urlacher that Goodell doesn't suspend players for being self-obsessed, licentious jerks. It's time for Mister Washed-up to go somewhere else.

hey mr.vaughn mcclure if you had only added one more thing that you know you'd be ranked alongside haugh and wouldn't that be a great honor.please find another role model for yourself while you are still respected.

Great insights Mc clure...
At least you didn't "pander" to some schmuck athlete like your cohort Dave Haugh always does. I can't wait under the season starts... |

Luckily for "That guy" that the tribune doesn't block people like "that guy" from commenting here...otherwise...he would be looking elsewhere to spread his ?%#&??
Maybe it's "that guy" that is washed up. There was no issue with Urlacher until Lovie fired Ron Rivera. Me thinks ...when Lovie is finally fired at the end of this season and replaced by Ron Rivera, that Urlacher will be played to his strengths again instead of playing to make Lovie's Cover-2 to work...you know...the defensive coverage that looks like prevent defense, that tires out the defense by the 4th quarter, that every team in the league has figured out how to play against...and that the creators of the cover-2, Tampa, has dropped from their defensive scheme starting this year because of all of the above. |

Yep, I've been watching replays of the Bears game on the NFL channled and I'm always baffled why Urlacher is deeper than the Safety's. Speaking of Saftey's I still can't figure out how the Bears are a better team with Steltz on the field over Brown. I was watching Grant run over Steltz in the GB game. Grant didn't even slow down. While earlier in the game Brown de-cleated their fullback. I know Brown is older and slower but he isn't even close to him in ability. I was amazed Steltz even made the team after watching him in the pre-season games. I was thinking who is the idoit that drafted him in the fourth round. God I hope I'm wrong! |
||||
You people are idiots who listen to sportswriters to much. Tony dungy's defense in tampa was dominate for years running it. The steelers of the 70's ran cover 2 and 3 and won 4 super bowls. Dungy won a super bowl in indy running it. The bears got to the super bowl using the cover 2.It amazes me just how stupid the fans are in chicago. |
||||
Yea, any place where Lovie is not the coach! |

I had heard that Urinelacher had a crush on Paxico?
is this true |
||||
Getting rid of Brown, instead of paying him a measly $900,000 could end up being another stupid move by the Bears. I could totally understand if they had someone remotely close to step in and take over but they dont. With that being said I hope Brown has a healthy and productive year with KC. I would like to see the Bears go after him at some point, after Brown hangs his cleats up, and put him in as the defensive backs coach. |
||||
Hey, if you don't have an issue with a guy who goes around impregnating bimboes and proceeds to have public, childish, and obscene fights with them, a guy whose physical skills are declining in direct proportion to his demands for more money while he's still under contract, a guy who refuses to speak publicly unless he's paid for it, that's your choice. But it won't change the fact that Urlacher is demontrably a worse person than Burress, and has less ability at this point. Which, of course, makes you an imbecile. |

You guys make me sick. It's the same flippin thing every time; Brown is great, Urlacher sucks, Lovie is the worst coach ever, the cover-2 is useless. Shut up!!!! Brown hasn't played a full season in the last 4 years. What good is leadership when he can't suit up. If Graham can't grow into the position than the draft will be the answer. The position will be a lot deeper next year than it was this year. Urlacher is the prototypical Mike back for the cover-2. Yes The LB were misused last year as a whole. But with better coaching and play calling they will improve this year. Plus 54 looks to be in great shape, better than I've seen in the last 3 years. The cover-2 has been around for 40 years and it is still a good defense. We sorely need a pass rush, without it we're screwed. We upgraded on strongside and have a very deep line and CB core. I like Lovie, and this is his year. If the D succeeds, he stays. If not he goes. But we have a lot more experienced coached this year and it'll make all the difference. Oh and Riveria as a coach, are you freakin crazy. There's a reason no one hired him as HC after he left Chicago. He's a good D coach but has trouble make mid game adjustments. Lovie made his rep being an inventive and successful d-cord. This is the start of a dominant team. BEAR DOWN!!!!!
|
||||
First, yeah he did tap some really dumb ass, but the women is who keeps draggin it out into the public eye. Figuring if she does it'll damage is rep, which it has with you, and he'll cave into her demands. Second, are you outta your fuhking mind!!! Burress a better person than Urlacher. Has 54 ever been fined for not showing up to practices or team meetings during the season. Has he ever carried an illegal weapon in the band of his sweatpants into a night club and discharged it into his leg.(by the way who wears sweats to a club) I'm guessing you meant demonstrably, and please for the love of god give me examples of when Urlacher has demonstrated such brazing boneheaded actions as Burress has. |

I hope Lovie proves me wrong......he is about 2 fall flat on his face. The guy can't coach.

Thank you,finally an intelligent post! Val and Arnie always cry the same song,over & over,no surprises there. I dont even read their responses anymore,because they always say the same derogatory comments about the Bears. All these idiots who keep taking shots at the Bears are just worried & jealous and they should be! They can talk all they want,but it wont effect the actual out come of the Bears being Dominant. We will be dominating on Offense,Defense & Special teams this year. Take care. BEAR DOWN! GO BEARS,2009 DIVISION CHAMPS! |

Pffft. Dvoracek's wife better be grateful her husband is still employed come October 7th, what with Dusty "Kerry Wood of the Bears" Dvoracek's injury history.

1) Lovie has strong and weak points as a D coach. He has had some really good schemes, which is why Bears had a lot of success on D (gave up 7 pts per game at home in 2005!). BUT he can't seem to adjust the plan when called for (Carolina playoff game, receiver Steve Smith said he would run all over the Bears, and he did, in 1st half! Then he did it again 2nd half! Bears gave up 29 pts at home! That was on the coaches, big time.)
2) That's when the assistant coaches need to step in and help him! 3) Now, go get a top FA safety and get back to the SB! Or move Urlacher to S, Bears have enough LBs. That would scare the heck out of opposing WRs. |
||||
|
Mike Brown was a great guy, unfortunately keeping him got you five games and cost a year of developing a younger player. They experimented with that enough.
|
||||
The D-Coordinator should make the adjustments, since they call the plays in. The HC should set the game plan as a whole, but he should allow the d and o coordinators to do there job. Now he will be calling the plays directly, so we'll just have to wait and see how he does. What FA safety do you have in mind. No top flight FA are available, and I don't see any suddenly coming on the market. As far as Urlacher switching to safety, you nuckin futz. Yeah he played in HS and College but that was a long time ago and his skill set is Ideally suited for MLB. Why can't we stop all the Peanut/Urlacher to FS crap. They already have a position, let's leave em there. If the D-Line gets better pressure on the QB watch how are DBs suddenly become very good again. It all starts up front for us, both on O and D. We now have 2 of the best line coaches in the game, let's see what they can before you start moving are best players outta there natural positions. |

“Stimulate THIS!” Since: Aug 08
ISP: Medora, IN |
I know this: Lovie still can't coach his way out of a paper bag....they better make the playoffs this year or he AND Angelo might go bye-bye.
