49ers Smith Can Still Prove He Was the Right Choice Over Rodgers
Suppose some stranger comes up to you on the street and asks you, the devoted 49ers fan in your throwback Joe Montana jersey, who's better: Aaron Rodgers or Alex Smith? Almost reflexively you answer Rodgers.
The Merc's Dan Brown has an annoying habit of coming up with ideas I wish I had had.
It was an affirmation of the end. With the loss of Steve Young and the continued absence of Garrison Hearst, the San Francisco 49ers discovered that their talent had diminished to the point where success was unsustainable.
What follows is a recap of the 49ers ' 1998 season. It was a fun season, if you don't count all the broken legs.
