Dolphins cut Jy Bond, Scorpio Babers

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

So much for competition among the kicking specialists. Already left without anyone to push incumbent placekicker Dan Carpenter, the Dolphins on Monday cut Australian project Jy Bond in a show of faith in returning punter Brandon Fields.

The Patriots were the better team last season. Both the Pats and the Dolphins went 11-5 and both teams had wins on the other's home turf. But the Phins had the easier schedule, NE played both Pittsburgh(superbowl champs) and Indy. Miami never would have beaten Pittsburgh and probably not Indy. The Phins won't have the easy schedule again this season and Brady is back. So enjoy you glory as AFC east champions phins fans, because this title will soon be history and Miami will be back in last place where you belong.

...dear Patsfan ...stop sucking your thumb while whining, eh ...its unbecoming.

...the Pats are a team on the decline, too many entrenched stars and not enough fresh blood to keep them on top ...like every other dynasty, they to have had their time, grown old, and will watch as the baton is passed to the next generation ...which, btw, is currently being assembled in Miami ...I'd suggest you invest in some fins season tickets about now, this time next year they'll be long sold out

...but you could comfort yourself in your doddering years with some ne tickets, they will be available at a steep discount, eh

The fact that someone has taught you how to cut and paste this EXACT comment on a daily basis does not make it true.

You ar so wrong, and living in denial. Not to mention the fact that this is not even training camp yet, so no one knows how this season plays out. The New EnglandPussies are o-o right now, just like every other team in the NFL. Perhaps we should just wait until the season starts before making excuses of why thePussies didn't make the playoffs last year.

You are so annoying, it's hard to believe that with your Assholic peronality, you did not grow up supporting the Jets!

Kobe's a player alright... just ask his wife. Being that this is a Miami Dolphins football thread, could you state why are you here again?

The Jets were the better team last season. Even though the Jets didn't have a better record, they're NFL royalty due to beating the Colts 40 years ago in the SB. Although the Phins had the easier schedule, NY still remembers their one superbowl win way back in 1969. The Phins won't have the easy schedule again this season and Sanchez is going to go undefeated for the next ten years. So enjoy you glory as AFC east champions phins fans, because this title will soon be history and Miami will be back in last place where you belong... and our new coach "Slim" will make us giggle with his awesome sense of humor.

...hey king ...I actually watched the jets beat the colts from the stands ...not withstanding that single moment of glory, both Ryan and Sanchez are current glory holes for this years jets ...Ryan is his father's child, good luck with that!...and Sanchez was a 4th rounder at best in any other year ...come Feb '10 you'll be looking for a new HC and a new QB ...good luck on that as well :)

...in fact, good luck all the way round ...you're in dire need.

The Dolphins were the better team last season. They marched into Foxboro and made the mighty Patriots look like Abbott & Costello and the 3 Stooges. They crossed the border and way-laid the carpetbagging Bills. They stormed the Meadowlands and humiliated the Jets, forcing them to make their head coach and starting QB walk the plank.Expect more of the same in '09.Resistance is futile.

One Sunday afternoon, a guy walks into a bar with his pet dog. The bartender said, "Sorry, pal. No pets allowed."

The man replied, "This is a special dog. Turn on the Jets game and you'll see."

The bartender, anxious to see what will happen, turned on the game.

The guy said, "Watch. Whenever the Jets score, my dog does flips." The Jets keep scoring field goals and the dog keeps flipping and jumping.
"Wow! That's one hell of a dog you got there. What happens when the Jets score a touchdown?" asked the bartender.

The man replied, "I don't know. I've only had him for seven years."

Now I know what Sporano had in mind when he said that he is canceling 2 of the last 3 OTAs and how hes seen all he needs except for one last thing... Someone's on the bubble. Expect a few more cuts by the weekend to make room for the draft picks...

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Leo

Why are you still fighting, Leo? Everyone else went home a long time ago, but you're still here pounding your fists on the table. Although you don't want to admit it, accepting defeat may be your most practical option at this point. Sometimes it's just easier to move on than to keep up the fight. When you're forced to restructure, at least you have a chance to redefine. YouÕl get the opportunity to start with a clean slate, so use it to your advantage.
