The Jaguars defensive tackle position for the upcoming 2009 season is certainly an area of question.

The statistics tell the story of the Jaguars' 5-11 season in 2008. They ranked 20th in the league in yardage gained and 17th in yardage allowed - below average on both sides of the ball.

"I warned the guys this week around the league is, historically, a time when individuals can find themselves doing the wrong thing," Del Rio said.

At the end of a week with three OTA sessions Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio met with the local media.

Jacksonville Jaguars video director Mike Perkins will pick up the phone on Saturday afternoon at Radio City Music Hall in New York City at 4:00 p.m. and Jaguars national scout Andy Dengler will be on the other end from the club's draft room inside Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.

Frank Gore missed practice Wednesday because of a sprained left ankle, and coach Mike Singletary said the running back's availability Sunday would be a "wait-and-see" situation.

Reading the tea leaves, the situation isn't looking all that good for Frank Gore .

The Jacksonville Jaguars today placed fullback Greg Jones on injured reserve with an ankle injury and signed defensive tackle Atiyyah Ellison off of the San Francisco 49ers practice squad to the active roster.

Frank Gore has yet to officially be ruled out this week. But unofficially, it looks bleak.
