In the realm of British insults, calling someone a "chocolate teapot" is equivalent to telling them they're useless. Yet with the advent of the U.K. Nestle Product Technology Centre's victory in creating a chocolate teapot that can withstand several minutes of hot tea brewing, the phrase may not be such an insult after all.

Pink cocktail to boost Leeds support charity during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Botanist bar, in Boar Lane, Leeds, will launch its new limited edition 'Seventh Haven' drink in order to raise both awareness and money for The Haven charity during Breast Cancer Awareness Month next month. The chocolate orange-inspired mix by bartender Adam Phoenix was chosen during a specially organised Bloom Gin cocktail competition last week, and will go on sale at the venue next month with A 1 from each drink going to the Gateway-based breast cancer support centre.

The Double Chocolate Milk Stout is a limited release from the Lancaster Brewing Company and available at the Harrisburg location from December to February. This beer is a spinoff from the brewery's original Milk Stout , with its major difference being added lactose and a stronger alcohol content, 6.8 percent up from 5. This extremely dark-looking ebony beer provides an excellent head and appears thick and frothy when poured.

Tea Aficionados Now Have Option of Chocolate Teapot that Brews

Scientists and engineers at the Nestle Product Technology Centre in York have created a teapot that is made entirely of dark chocolate and is fully capable of holding in boiled water long enough to produce drinkable tea. The chocolate teapot was revealed to the world by the BBC's The One Show, which challenged Nestle to test the age-old phrase "about as useful as a chocolate teapot" and make an actual chocolate teapot that works.

Planning logistics and communicating in Facebook felt so complicated that I almost felt like I was involved in a military operation.

Weetabix unveils Alpen bars for Chinese market

Alpen bars targeting busy professionals are the first Weetabix products to be formulated specifically for the Chinese market, following the UK company's majority buy-out by Chinese conglomerate Bright Foods in 2012. A Weetabix spokesperson told BakeryandSnacks.com that the bars, which are manufactured at Weetabix's UK factory in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, were already being shipped to China and the plan was to launch the range later this autumn in 2,000 stores across Shanghai.
