Takeaway food found dumped at beauty spot

Food that resembles pizza bases, naan breads and tortilla wraps was discovered floating around the edge of the water last Tuesday by horrified local resident Megan Hamer who was walking her dog. The discovery comes just weeks after The Bolton News reported that botulism was likely to be the blame for a recent surge in avian deaths at the lodge, including swan cygnets.

Three of its eateries have been featured in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2015 - il Passaggio, the Horse and Camel Wine Bar and Mister Jones. Modern Italian restaurant il Passaggio, owned by Honor and Tim Northam, received an appetising review and a score of 13/20.

Tom Thexton, of Haringey, suffers from coeliac disorder and went into baking to champion the cause of gluten-free bread. Mr Thexton, who set up the Wild Thexton Bakery single-handedly 18 months ago and now supplies The Ritz, the Grosvenor House Hotel and the Ledbury, was last week crowned 'rising star' at the Baking Industry Awards 2014.
