Samhain in spite of this person claim has existed in form or another..

And to correct this author little time frame Gerald may have started the Wicca as early as 1938. When he wrote the the first "Bookk of Shadows"

I dont think the report says Samhain hasnt existed (it certainly has for me, and i am older than Wicca), Gardner and his associates didnt start Wicca as we know it until much later than 1938, even though he and some of the others were already writing and practising things which became part of Wicca.
To be honest much as i love Samhain i am heartily sick of reading Halloween threads on here, most of which seem to descend into farcical tit for tat exchanges with those who think we are all devil worshippers.

Countess Samhain is european. It is not middle east..

All to true.. however Samhain as either holiday or an observance has existed before christianity ever existed.

but dressing up as dracula and scaring old ladies and begging at doors etc., is a purely American import, driven by advertising.

I'll tell ya'll a short spooky story,ok,let's get started. One day,I was coming home from mousqe there I met my friend Mariyah and we went inside to chat for a while and she asked me that "is your dad coming to pick you up from mousqe" and I said "no" then she said "why" then I said I wanted to come home my-self today and then my friend said "ok then."I turned around and no-one was there(it was completely empty)I turned to my friend,Mariyah she was gone to,then I started panicking. The mousqe teacher came and told me to go home.I went home and I could hear spooky noises,I got scard so I started running and finally I went home I changed my mousqe clothes to my nighties ,I looked from the window and I looked from the window then it was back normal(it was lauch time)then I got really scared and I shouted at my dad to gt me home at 6:00pm then he said "sorry, dear."THE END.
What do you guy's think this is "Trick or Treat?"

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Libra

Believe it or not, 2010 is almost round the corner. Start thinking about what you want to achieve next year. If that means admitting defeat in some projects that you tried and failed to launch this year, then so be it. Mercury turns today in your house of endings, so confusion from the past may be resolved in coming weeks. Onwards and upwards!
