In my mid 30's, I quit smoking & started exercising. Some years later, I became a vegetarian. At 51, my cholesterol, pulse, BP & BMI are all very low. I didn't wait for the government to pass universal healthcare; I took control of my own destiny. All of you moron Obamaniacs might want to promote self-empowerment as an alternative to government programs that are ALWAYS paid for with reduced personal freedom. The socialist utopias in Europe, Japan, Asia & Canada are ALL straining & facing insolvency. There is an observable brain-drain as their best & brightest seek the economic freedom to pursue rewards comensurate with their talents. Healthcare costs have ONLY risen as the government has involved itself in what should be a market based solution to high prices. Why don't liberal reporters ever ask incredulously: "why should government be able to administer medicine any better than it delivers the mail?" How naive must one be to think that a single payer system won't place innumerable conditions on the participants as the "price" for receipt of "free" services? Services that will be rationed to the point that it will take weeks to even see doctor & many more to get treated. Ask your commie friends in Canada. They'll tell ya.
