Ok... I am a HUGE proponent of breastfeeding. Been there done that and it is wonderful.

While I don't necessarily think that this doll will lead to early sexual activity as there is nothing sexual about breastfeeding, the idea is a little odd.

Breastfeeding is more natural than feeding a baby a bottle, because it is how mothers are meant to feed their babies across a wide variety of species. However, must we reduce every adult experience to "childs play"? I was raised with a bottle and found breastfeeding on my own and so glad that I did. I fed my "babies" their bottles and still ending up breastfeeding my real babies.

I am in a slippery slope mode today... but I can just see it now... the anti-breastfeeding movement calls on a ban for real women to not breastfeed their children in public, even under a blanket.

On the flipside though... it might just begin to change the way we look at breasts. That they aren't meant for just sexual enticement and play, but also for a function of feeding.
