Ryan Reynolds to hit cinema screens as 'Green Lantern' in 2011

Actor Ryan Reynolds has been cast as the DC Universe's most popular Green Lantern, Hal Jordan in the live-action film. The X-Men Origins: Wolverine actor beat out fellow heartthrobs Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper, who starred in The Hangover for the role of "Green Lantern" in Warner Brothers' potential blockbuster based on the popular DC Comics super hero.

green lantern was NEVER POPULAR...comic book stopped being published lots of times.

Never popular? Uber popular more like it. Green Lantern is the best original science fiction comic book of all time. It's everything that is good about sci-fi and superheroes all rolled up into one. Ryan is a hell of an actor.
