Reactor shield redesign ordered

The most popular model for the next generation of nuclear power plants in the United States will have to be redesigned or tested again to ensure greater strength in its shield building, federal regulators said Thursday.

Yeah, that's why Gen 2+ PWR should be the choice for the upcoming buld-up, with CANDUs for countries that cannot afford PWRs.

APWRs should be experimental and deployed on tiny scale (maybe 5-10 worldwide) until 20-30 years of experience running them is accumulated.

I didn't say graphite air cooled reactors mon amis.

There are many folks out there that will not fly in an Airbus, but fly in a Boeing. Newr, not always better. And not from the getgo - dfinitely.
