Although "Green Energy" is nice to have, it is more often over exaggerated in its actual effeciveness. The Pownal VT site is not only insufficient in scope and size for a worthwhile positive impact, but it would certainly detract from the beauty and grandeur of Southern Vermont's town of Pownal. The proposed "Green Energy" facilities would also have very little positive impact on on employment. If the town of Pownal wants to benefit economically from development of the site, through such sources as tax revenue, then Pownal should seek to bring in business that not only provides their tax revenue, but also adequate employment and less of a visual degredation to the area's beauty as a biomass or solar power production facility would produce.
