I have elevated LDL cholesterol and I have Parkinson's. I have been reading the articles about simvastatin and Parkinson's and how the statin may stop the progression of the disease. I also have read about the possible bad effects of the drug. Nevertheless, I have requested the drug from my doctor since with my elevated number it wouldn't be an off-label use. I will take a small dose too start. I'm tossing them both in the air. One of them will kill me. If possible why not be more comfortable until the end? Why suffer if it will help?

I asked my cardio doctor to change to Simvastatin 2 1/2 years ago after reading about VA database study (http://www.theheart.org/article/802535.do ). My disease progression is nill. My cholesterol is well under control. I use 80 mg, very satisfied.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Capricorn

Someone is being very pedantic and picky, and they'll soon drive you round the bend with frustration. They're splitting hairs about all sorts of petty problems, but unfortunately you won't be immune from this yourself. You might get caught up in needless details that don't really matter, or take everything that happens very personally. Try to be more objective.
