GlaxoSmithKline makes $2.6 million bid for Human Genome Sciences

British drug maker GlaxoSmithKline, which owns heartburn antacid and St. Louis-based Tums, has made a $2.6 billion unsolicited bid to buy Maryland-based Human Genome Sciences, the Triangle Business Journal reports.
