Govt wants bonus paid by Sept. 23

Most of the big companies have already declared the quantum of bonus at the maximum rate of 20 per cent after holding discussions with the Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha leaders. The state-owned sick PSU, Assam Tea Corporation Limited , for the second year running has agreed to pay 20 per cent bonus to the workers of 15 gardens owned by it after Dispur approved its proposal to pay the amount at one go.
