Man arrested for gun charge sentenced
Aneudy Benitez-Martinez, 33, a citizen of the Dominican Republic, was sentenced Thursday to 21 months in prison for illegally re-entering the United States and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a news release from the office of U.S. Attorney John W. Vaudreuil.

Groton Man Sold Heroin, Sentenced to 46 Months
The United States Attorney's Office for Connecticut issued this news release Monday: Efrain Hernandez Vasquez, known as "Frao," 38, of Groton, was sentenced today [Monday] by U.S. District Judge Janet Bond Arterton in New Haven to 46 months of imprisonment, followed by four years of supervised release, for distributing heroin.
