AERO 2012: Slash new aircraft costs to lure pilots, says GAMA
The cost of building and developing new aircraft must be slashed if general aviation is to attract new pilots, sustain the existing population of owners and flyers and drive up safety, said the General Aviation Manufacturers Association at AERO 2012 in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
Designed and built by the Zeppelin Company on the shores of the Bodensee in Friedrichshafen , the airship flew from March 1936 until destroyed by fire 14 months later on May 6, 1937, at the end of the first North American transatlantic journey of its second season of service.
