A mentally unstable man led police on a low-speed pursuit through Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree yesterday. According to a Sheriff's report, the man made suicidal and homicidal statements to counselors at the Crisis Walk-In Center in Yucca Valley shortly before 7 p.m., saying he had a gun at home that he would use on anyone who talked to him. Comment?

On November 26, 2014, the General Manager from the Yucca Valley Ford Dealership located at 57909 Twentynine Palms called to report sometime during the night unknown subjects threw rocks at several new/used vehicles on the dealership car lot. Deputy Shaunna Ables and Sheriff's Service Specialist Melissa Kramer responded to the scene to initiate an investigation. Comment?

Three men were arrested last week following an investigation into the theft of large plaques and bronze statues-including the elk from the Yucca Valley Elks lodge-over the last several months. According to a Rancho Cucamonga police press release, deputies served a search warrant on homes in Claremont and Rancho Cucamonga in connection of thefts of a large bronze elk statue from the Bass Pro Shop in Rancho Cucamonga. Law enforcement searched on the ground and in the air for a Yucca Valley man accused of beating up his mother Sunday. According to Sheriff's Sergeant Matt Yost, Charles Pritchett, 29, a parolee who was high on drugs, hit his mother in the face at her home in the 7200 block of Apache Trail about 8:30 Sunday morning. Comment?
