Should I take the Flat program in pa for my first dui?and is a suspended sentence better then a straight conviction?
I was in an accident in november, I was coming out of a driveway and collided with another car, I went to the hospital, and had a concussion, 3 months later I received a dui in the mail , the police got a warrent for my bloot test ,that registered pot in my system. I don't remember much because of the concussion, cop said he got a search warrent because it took me time to answer his quesions? I had a concussion. I received no other tickets and there were no drugs in my car. My ? is do I take the flat program or fight it in court? maybe my public defender can challenge the search warrant? which is based only on my slow response to the officer, but I had banged my head. I will loose my job if I lose my license. I would appreciate any input . My arraingment is in june.
No one can advice without reviewing the file completely. It may be in your best interests and it may not. You may...
I got a DUI in PA 8yrs ago & completed my ARD immediately. Now, I'm applying for an RN license in CO. My attorney had told me that my PA record would not reflect the offense once ARD was completed and that after 7 years my record would be completely expunged, which would've been 2009. I already recieved an RN in a few other states- without mentioning my record- with no problems. However, the CO application asks if I had ever had any DUI offense (even if pled no contest), and that even if it was expunged, pardoned, dismissed, deferred, etc I'm supposed to answer 'yes' and explain my case. Why do I have to do this if my record is supposed to be expunged?
First I suggest you check to make sure your record is properly expunged. State with the state police website (link...
Taken for suspectedDUI and blood taken. What now? Not drinking! Very tired-long day of classes only 19! What do we do now?
Was driving back from a long day of classes and crossed over yellow line. Pulled over and given warning. Then scared to death as the police officer continued to follow close behind. Was on my way to grandparents to change for work then. Went to pull intheir driveway. Pulled in and a car was coming and the office pulled right in behind me and arrested me for suspected DUI then and took me to local hospital for bloodwork. I do not drink or anything! They didn't give us any paperwork. Mom came and picked me up. I am an honor roll student and am so scared this is going to ruin my whole life. I feel destroyed by being tired!!! I know that the bloodwork is fine. But the experience, arrest was horrible. I don't know what to do. They said it would be a month before the test would back. What now?
From your description of the facts it sounds like you will be fine. I understand that the anxiety created by waiting...

If this is your first offense, you may be eligible for a program known as ARD. The program will require you to take a...
Charged with three counts of DUI, 1 count reckless driving, and 1 count careless driving. As my first offense, what are options?
I was not made aware of my charges until I filed a fingerprint background check. I was able to get a police report that told me nothing, and was denied access to the DUI report filed. What are my options?
In would first make sure that you hire an attorney in the area that handles DUI cases. You have options depending on...
My boyfriend is on probation. If I am home and he is not can his probation officer still come in the house?
If I am home alone I do not want to let anyone in. Is it against the law for me not to let his probaiton officer in?
Probation has wide discretion to act, including unannounced home visits. That said, you have a legitimate security...
Can my probation officer tell me to stop taking my medication (xanex), even though my doctor proscribed it?
My probation officer suspects that I have been dealing them however he has no evidence of this and I havent been. I actually have more than I need because I dont always take the maximum amount needed. Can he legally tell me not to take them even though they are medically prescribed to me? And there have been no new charges filed about anything.
I think you may have posted this question already but if you have not there are some good replies in a similar question...
